how do you make your digital drawings have the "marker" effect , avoiding the colors from being plain or generic?

@MangaAiman paint tool sai has a pretty good marker tool. You can sorta simulate the effect in Photoshop by lowering the opacity and flow of the paint brush tool to like 40%
