oh one more fault the Late Model( IMO the best car on there ive driven) i dont know what its called but when you tap someone or rub fenders racing them you get a 4x for it i mean you dont see damage but you get a 4x like racing bad to do! Maybe if i start playing follow the leader ill fair better on iRacing!

@iRacingTV Still pretty expensive for a sim that cannot even do night racing and weather. Plus charging for cars and tracks, at least you are fixing the tire model.

Don't get me wrong its a nice sim, just not worth the money when I can get the same thing in rfactor and gtr2 for free.

@z1ppz Well you are probably right. Although again one could argue why buy an expensive car when any car which gets you from point A to B costs less. Same with anything which costs more money than any other item with the same function...

Besides, most people would say the same about buying a Ferrari when you can buy a second hand car for $1000 to get from A to B. It depends what you want and how much money you have available.

A ferrari is expensive and you pay for the badges on it just like alienware computers, and you get nothing for the price, if you bought a ferrari, and i bought a Nissan and put the same amount of money into it as you spent on the ferrari I would blow you outta the water in anything you could possibly think of! thus making iracing a crappy service for what you pay, i mean it doesnt even have a aero model, and its been around for almost 3 yearsnow!

BTW i do pay the money to race, its not a complete waste as it takes time away when im bored, and pisses me off to the point i punch my bag, so he i pay the 15$ membership fee to hit the bag! well its not useless!

Youve accomplished something your the EA sports of sim racing! Technology and no brain to use it!

P.S even DWC drivers are pissed about the cars, you should check the forums!

@SuppaNova2012 Good luck test driving a Ferrari for free. There's actually a couple of Ferrari's that after you buy them you can only drive them when Ferrari let you.

@SuppaNova2012 Actually, the DWC drivers have mentioned a few things, yes, about the COT in particular. From what I have seen it is all related to the tire model, which has been worked on now for over a year. Until that's done, if it's a big issue for you too, you do have other options, whether it's another iRacing car or another simulation. I don't really understand the anger.

@SuppaNova2012 Hm, I must be making contact lighter than you are. They don't use the late model in the DWC, how is this related to them?

We have aero, by the way, it's primitive but more advanced than anything else I know of. It isn't done the way we want it done, that doesn't mean there is none. We have static weather, we can't make weather change during a week when everyone has to have a level playing field anyway. What kind of weather to you mean? Rain etc is a pretty long way off.

@iRacingTV what that isnt related to DWC its related to the faults of iracing that should be fixed already it couldnt be to hard since they already fixed the top 3 series!

The kind of weather im talking about is cloud cover changing tracks, wind at SS tracks affecting speed, thats what im talking about!

@SuppaNova2012 Rubber and multi-lane racing isn't going to be faked. I'm not aware of anybody else who did it realistically. I think your anger here comes from the fact that we try not to fake things that are really time consuming to even fake. Dave has been working on a tire model for about a year now, solid. That's related to just about every driving issue.

Damage needs work, will give you that. But that isn't where the priority has been. We wanted a driving simulator before a crashing one.

Damage model should be second on the priority list next to the tire model, i mean how could a guy hit a wall head-on and still run the same sometimes quicker lap times? i mean the real drivers have to sign a discloser that they will not say bad things/ opinions on how the cars feel in the forums or in any press! umm.......so dales not paid he just gets content free and free service to not say anything bad, sorry i was wrong!

@SuppaNova2012 While my iRacing sub has expired and I won`t renew before a bit for lack of money, I know I`ll do soon as possible. Why? Because iRacing provides me with RACES when I want to race. Something LFS, GPL, Nr2003, RFactor or GTR can't provide me with. Sure I can get wreckfest at Talladega at any hour of the day, or Monza hotlap competitions. Leagues? Well, maybe YOU don't pay but there's someone spending the annual 140$ for the webserver and the 30$ a month for the game server.

I love iRacing but I really don't know if keeping Dale as a defacto spokesman for iracing is a great idea. Sure he uses it and he talked about how it helps him. But when is the last time he has won a race, or hell even played in the top 10. Makes the sim look bad doesn't it?
