can u show a video on how to make a rig that a hooks the gar.. i used this same rig but i missed about 40 gars in 1 day.. i found a creek in south texas that is flooded with gar... the only 1 i caugt was from a double hook and it hooked him in the back

The gar where I live will go for just a plain hook, I don't have bait. Just a hook

@TheRagoo69 if the hooks are shiny theres always the possibility of a fish biting it. or if its overpopulated with low food the fish will bite anything that looks like food

owner or gamakatsu are good hooks gamakatsu chemically sharpen there points so once they break or not shark there mostly garbage unless you got a hook sharpner Owner are good also, Mustad are physically sharpend so they last a little longer. Nice rig I'll try it out one day.

for gar my favorite bait it cut bait... Shad, bluegills, and suckers work just fine

good vid guys, keep it up, and i just want to say that "owner hooks" are the best out there, i only ever use owner or gamakatsu, i will no longer ever use featherlite, ive had way to may fish bend bend and shake those cheapo koooks, you guys are doing it right, keep those lines tight and good luck

@HighCaliberFishing Have you ever went saltwater fishing for Striped Bass? I use live mackerel with 2 circle hooks and a balloon 1 foot away from the bait, the second the balloon pops you know you have him hooked.
