There is no city in the world that is perfect. Vancouver comes pretty close, but has problems like anywhere else.

It is growing too fast for sure. We would be wise to put a cap on immigration for a while.

Big cities like London, New York and Toronto have big influx of Immigrants every year. As far as I know, there has been no city in the world that didn't get productive because of Immigration.

I'd be worried if the scenario is migration instead and leaving it a ghost city. Look at Detroit and Buffalo.

i know, for the most part, immigration is good. It`s just gotten out of hand in some cases. And oh yeah, every Torontonian I talked to who lived in Toronto before the Immigration Act in 1983 absolutley loved it back then. I don`t know much about New York, but Toronto has gone downhill since. And if you`re gonna reply saying these people can`t adapt to change, then seriously. When it comes to crime in Toronto, I CAN blame it on immigration. I should know, I lived in Rexdale since the 70`s.

It's the immigrants who should adapt, not the citizens of the country...you have it ass-backwards. Inb4 "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." Too many Canadians are apathetic about the unravelling of our common heritage and languages (French and English) into a mismatch of alien cultures/languages etc. I'm sick to death of immigrants not assimilating. Multiculturalism is a "nice" ideal but in practice, fails utterly...
