I recently found Gtdagenda and I think it fits perfectly with GTD. It has goals, projects and tasks, contexts, next actions, checklists, schedules and a simple calendar.
I think David needs to expand on handling the moment use of GTD, in that I don't think a weekly review is often enough to look at your lists and update as needed. I think he needs to expand the process flow to include what to do once you have completed a task, such as "define the next action from the result of the task, and determine if it's < 2 minutes. If so, do it; if not, list it in the right context and then review your lists to see what else you can do now.
@heathervescent listen to brian tracy{when he has white hair he's better}, jim rohn ... les brown, zig ziglar..motivational... here in you tube... the will motivate u again
Unfortunately, most knowledge workers are not just getting things done, they also have to report out those activities and metrics tied to projects, for which GTD does not include a system design.
One example David uses is calls to make when you are waiting on something and have a phone available. The whole benefit is minimizing down time and increasing the number of tasks done because you know what you can do in any given context.
That last benefit means that when you have so many hours in a day to work (not counting time such as sleep, or sole-purpose time such as showers or other *ahem* intimate moments) then any time you can squeeze in a task you should have a list available to tell you what's possible.
The core benefits of GTD to me are 1] clearing your head of thoughts into a "trusted system" so you are less stressed that some item has fallen through the cracks and would be forgotten, and 2] allowing you to maximize your task/time ratio.
I found your video when I was searching for various topics that interest me (duh!).
One topic I don't think gets discussed enough in the GTD circles is the focus of the core of GTD on getting things done, not on tracking what's been done, linking tasks to projects for metric analysis, or for tracking reference material.
Pinky! Great to hear from you. Yeah. I'm officially back on the wagon. So far, it's going good. I'm excited to do this series and get back to kicking ass.
Irony piggybacking on irony... of all the youtube videos for me to choose to watch in a rare moment of procrastination...
:-)
I hope you made it back on alright, you're an inspiration! I sent Steve Jobs a nasty letter because I miss my to-do lists on my Treo. official 3rd party apps are due out in Jan, there better be a proper to-do list among them!
wall away from the GTD. It is a list of things that beset you.
Cool, that's that reply checked off.

I like the purple hair on GTD, it suits you well. Nothing wrong with natural colour, but you carry purple off well.

What kind of list? on red or blue?

Perhaps not for you - but it's a challenge for others. And just cause it's easy at this moment, it might be a challenge at some point in the future.
