@kodiallen I think this song is great, and the intro just shows that in Jon Lord & Richie Blackmore is a really great and unusual song just waiting to come together for a full head on assault on future albums. Early Deep Purple just shows their influences and what they have to draw upon once they make the change to the more straight forward Led Zeppelin style. I listen to Deep Purple in Rock & Fireball occasionally, but also love Machine Head and Who Do We Think We Are which critics hated.
