Ok, This is how You become spidey:

Step 1: Get a spider with strong web.

Step 2: Make the spider radioactive.

Step 3 F**k with the spider and have it bite it carefully in ur wrist where u see a blue vain connecting to 1 of the two palses in ur rist.

Step 4: Wait for the radioactive poison to go back to ur heart.

Step 5: It goes to DNA.

Step 6: Enjoy being spider-man!

Soooo.... he's like Golden Age Superman with greater agility and webbing, but not bulletproof. And he's fighting Modern Age villains, which means that they are all much, much stronger than he is. My vote is still on the guy in the red-and-blue tights who swings on spider-silk or w/e. Spiderman is just awesome. Smart too. He's like a weaker Superman who has to deal with real-life problems all the time. And is just a better character in every way.
