Ford is notorious for long gears, so, where the dodge runs mainly a 3.93 , rear, the ford runs mainly a 3.55 and sometimes a 3.23, that is 2 and 3 size difference. No doubt, even if u matched the diffs the dodge would probably still win due to a bigger engine, but it would only be a tenth or 2 of a sec.
@oilfield666 f150 primarily runs a 3.55, the new ones also run 3.23, u can get it with a 3.73 and a 4.1 mainly on special order. Go look at the dealer lots, i did, 7 different ford lots looking for the 3.73, but couldnt find it, so i settled for the 3.73 because i dont have the money for a brand new special order. Chevy is also running a new rear, 3.4something, and dodge primary is 3.73 and 3.90. The new ford 0-60 speed spec was done with a 3.55, thats a big difference in speed

thanks man, not sure how the f150 performance market is but i am running AEM longtube headers, no catalytic converters, then an electric cutout, and then a flowmaster 40. the muffler is a single inlet/dual outlet with turndown tips. works good, just VERY loud in the cab, i run with the cutout open 90% of the time though, lol.
OK, here it comes. Exhaust? I didn't know hacking out you muffler was putting on an exhaust, Plus my truck runs 22inch steel wheels with 305's on an extended cab truck. But your right thouse few things would give me the extra 45 horse it would take to match yours. :)

I also went to several local Dodge dealers, and they do have plenty of 1/2 ton Hemi pick ups with 3.55 gears on them. What we have here is that you are full of love for the Fraud brand and that is ok, but don't come here and talk shit about other truck makers when you obviously don't know shit !

@fastvwg60 actually, i got tired of your nonsense and went to look for myself, and i was kinda wrong. They started offering the 3.55 option again in 09, the same year they advertised 20 mpg with the cylinder cut out engine. I was unaware of that, sry..... but go watch motortrend or whatever u want, when dodge does its spd ratings, they always have 3.7/3.9 rears. The 3.55 is only an option now, not the main. Every guy ive ran across with a dodge has a 3.9, which is why i refuse to race them

If you are talking about R/T hemi dodge rams, well that is a different story but the regular 1/2 and 3/4 ton pick ups are mainly geared 3.55.

From the time they redesigned back in the late 90's they used primarily 3.9, until they discontinued the 5.9 and went to the 5.7, they went primarily with the 3.7 and still offered the 3.9, and now for fuel mileage they offer the 3.55 again. Go watch previous motortrend vids, dodge gets thier speed from lower rear gears....DUH...BOY...lol

The axle has a disconnect system that automatically disengages the axle when four-wheel drive mode is disengaged, for increased fuel economy. 3.55 and 3.92 gear ratios are available,as well as 3.21, and 4.10. Stats shmats, STR-10 is the biggest over rated boat anchor out there. The only thing cool about them is the six speed but unfortunate for them is makes them eaven slower... ya sure is my truck. and yes it was and is still bone stock minus the cut off muffler. and yes the ford was chipped with an air raid cold air and cut off muffler. i figure mine did not too bad considering mine is 4 wheel drive and his 3 years newer only a two wheel drive.

thanks man, not sure how the f150 performance market is but i am running AEM longtube headers, no catalytic converters, then an electric cutout, and then a flowmaster 40. the muffler is a single inlet/dual outlet with turndown tips. works good, just VERY loud in the cab, i run with the cutout open 90% of the time though, lol.
