All religion except Christianity is based on a works system to get into heaven, whereas Christianity is based on grace. Salvation is a gift from God, it is not by works that we are saved but by God's grace. So in other words, we can't work our way to heaven. I love the song and the praise, but unfortunately Hillsong does preach and practice the prosperity gospel. There is no need to deny it or to justify it. In fact, in denying or justifying it, it only makes Pentecostals everywhere look worse. Deception never filled anyone with the Holy Ghost.
There is no where in Scripture where God says HE cannot prosper His children! What are those children doing with what God has blessed them to have? Are they serving Him with those blessings or themselves? Are they honoring Him? Children of God are blessed to be blessings. But by who's standards can we judge whether or not we have done good enough deeds to make it. All religion except Christianity is based on a works system to get into heaven, whereas Christianity is based on grace. @mycatistigger Regardless of how "good" we have been in our lives, we have sinned either way and have fallen short of the glory of God. According to the bible the wages of sin is death. Salvation is a gift from God, it is not by works that we are saved but by God's grace. So in other words, we can't work our way to heaven. The only way to heaven is through accepting Christ into our lives. You could chose to have that mentality (repenting at the last minute) but you do not chose when you will die

I love the song and the praise, but unfortunately Hillsong does preach and practice the prosperity gospel. There is no need to deny it or to justify it. In fact, in denying or justifying it, it only makes Pentecostals everywhere look worse. Deception never filled anyone with the Holy Ghost.

There is no where in Scripture where God says HE cannot prosper His children! What are those children doing with what God has blessed them to have? Are they serving Him with those blessings or themselves? Are they honoring Him? Children of God are blessed to be blessings. Praising God and worshipping Him is what I have been blessed to receive from Hillsong!
