@Entrayalicious It's the contraction of "leg godt", as far as I know. If you want to know more about such contractions, go to Wikipedia with the fancy port word. ;)
@Joorin4711 Looking at it with the letters i can see it,. but the pronouncing of the words dosnt fit with it :b The 'e' in leg sounds like a, and the 'o' in godt sounds like å. Thinking of it, we have a difficult way of spelling many things
Thumbs up if you think "Mega Bloks" (yes, it is spelled that way) can shove a Lego up their a**es!
"On September 14, 2010, the European Court of Justice ruled that the 8-peg design of the original Lego brick "merely performs a technical function [and] cannot be registered as a trademark".
F*ck you Mega Bloks, f*ck you with a Lego Brick. -_-
why does British tv always have better background music in every episode? is it cheaper to get property rights for it there than in the US or something?
@skinnyloser13 The BBC is a state owned broadcaster and the largest in the world. The BBC has an agreement with all the major music labels and can use any music they like pretty much. This agreement extends to private production companies that the BBC commissions.
I was visiting London when I heard on the television that some presenter was asking for the public's help in building a Lego house. This was before I knew of Top Gear and James May. I'm so sorry now that I missed out on it.
I'm sure many people have already thrown this out there, but I love May in this program.
Where I think a lot of shows would be (& are) happy to let their premise ride solely on the "wow" or "stunt" factor, I feel as though May brings a simplicity and earnest enthusiasm to things. A genuine excitement and enjoyment for what he's talking about that has me connecting with it on a deeper level then "Wow, That's A Lot Of God Damned Legos".
When I watch this I'm not just impressed, I'm inspired.
@TheLegoshow101 what's really challenging is combining original-style Lego's with Technics mechanisms... which is very rewarding, once you finish a project! (and then put that with Lego Mindstorms? holy cow, that's a dream project i like to make someday, if it weren't for its combined steep price! =)
God, even to this day I still LOVE Lego. Lego was a huge part of my childhood. Thank you pully87 for the upload and thank you James May for doing this :D
The music around 6:36 sounds like the song Handelbars. Am I correct? Oh, and thank you for posting this. In Canada it is difficult for us to get these programs.

I didnt know that Lego meant play well in danish.. And im a dane..
Entrayalicious 1 month ago
@Entrayalicious It's actually a portmanteau of two Danish words, if I recall correctly.
Canama139 1 month ago
@Canama139 I translated it and portmanteau meant bag.. So i dunno what it means, and i can see no way of Lego meaning play well

Lego means 'Play well' in danish?
Not quite, darling, 'Play well' is 'Leg godt'
But I'm guessing it's a contraction of 'leg' (play) and 'godt' (well or good)

The intro isn't any song in particular. Just a bit of theme music Gil Cang made specifically for the show, and isn't really available anywhere.
However, if you look up Advent Children "Calling" the melody after the intro is almost exactly the same.
