It would be even more incredible if it were actually true! No oil company has built a single refinery? True but From 1975 to 2008, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) received only one permit request for a new refinery. And the EPA approved Arizona Clean Fuels application for an air permit for a proposed refinery in Arizona.

Oil companies do not want to build another refinery! It is one of their most used excuse for the high cost of oil. It would be like shooting their own foot!

Maxine Waters: what a joke. The federal government already took control of the oil companies. The gov takes over 40% of their profits in tax money and doesnt produce a damn thing. If the federal gov would quit attempting to control oil supplies we wouldnt have this problem. I understand that most politicians dont have a clue how supply and demand works, but couldnt the people of CA at least find a literate person to elect?
