  • Nice camera work Cloverfield!

  • Yeah this cr us completely silent the back where the exhaust tip should be are speakers

  • seems like an airplane when it accelerates

  • That's the turbo you're hearing from the 260 HP GM Ecotech engine. This car uses the gas engine when you want to accelerate really fast (408 BHP) . Car has 2 modes all electric (0-60 8 sec), and elec+gas (0-60 6 sec)

    IT'S THE TURBO

  • No it has an acoustik speaker in the back the emits a sound... Fisker describes it as soundling like the batmobile

Veryy little sound from the gas or electric thats why

  • @spineboy Actually it's the exterior speckers, it's so can hear the thing coming and not walk out in front of it.

  • The Crown Prince of Denmark has actually ordered a Karma, and during COP15 here in Copenhagen, Fisker has lent him a pre-production version wich he has been showing off. I can verify that the car makes absolutely no sound whatsoever, and looks stunning.

  • Sucks, probably overpriced.

  • @takman60

    100K, it's under priced...

  • finland? how about Delaware

  • yep its the speakers, cuz the car is actually too quiet, and might be dangerous to pedestrians.

  • I`ve been kinda wondering why it makes that kind of sound. There`s nothing in that car that should sound like that. But reading the comments here I have understood that there is actually speakers outside of the car making that sound? Is that correct?

  • I think it's the AC motor.

  • kinda sounds like a jet...i wonder if that was the speakers on the rear of the car making that sound.

  • OMG that thing sounds like a jet!

  • yeah its true, but in FACT ... it is NOT sound of engine ... electromotor is quite ... this jet sound is generatet using external reproductors

  • yeah its cool they are like speakers producing the sound

  • It will be manufactured in Finland.

  • We interviewed them at the detroit auto show, can you beleive its a four door.

  • This spy camera is awesome! How's he get RIGHT ON THE TEST TRACK without getting noticed?

  • Amaing design :D

  • hope this actually goes into production.. cant help thinking most of these companies survive on grants and investments until the money runs out with just 4 cars built.

  • These guys are backed by Kliner and perkins (backed up google and amazon, not too mention Al Gore is on their committee)... so the money to produce this car (and the Karma S) is there... they just need to get approved by the FED... they get approved by the Fed and they will be set

  • these are in production, they are goin to start selling these beautiful machines in 2009.

  • they go into production the end of this year.

  • nice that a person from my country (denmark) has designed that stunning looking car

  • damn it sounds like a fucking jet fighter man!! i want one i´ll start saving hehehe

  • the exhaust pipes in the back are actually speakers so you can make it sound however you want

  • are you serious? where can i find more info about this car, tnx dude.

  • search "2010 Fisker Karma carscom" on youtube

  • I CANT WAIT TO SEE ONE OF THESE IN PERSON! Its driving me insane.

  • I LOVE that sound, and I hear it sounds even cooler from the inside.

I can't wait to see the production Karma at NAIAS. Its amazing how much Fisker Automotive divulged in their preshow press release!

  • I'm #645 lets just hope it's not a scam!!!

  • I'm confident its real. Henrik Fisker designed the Aston Martin DB9 and BMW Z8. Thomas Fritz is a veteran as well, big shot engineer from BMW. They have their own building in Pontiac housing 250 engineers, a supply agreement with GM, and hundred$ of millionS from investment firms.

  • Got a great email from them last week, all the tech specs etc. and an awesome photo of a chromed one...I can't show it you though as I would have to kill you afterwards!! Carlover72 knows what I am talkin about!

  • I'm #946 on the waiting list. Can't wait to get mine...

  • Regardless, in-wheel motors is a great concept and I hope Kama develops them because by eliminating the transition, drive lines and differentials, you reduce friction buy 6%. That means better acceleration, energy economy and range. Eliminating these heavy rotating drive components will reduce the weight of the car and free up a lot of space too, thereby possibly increasing the range a lot more from a lighter more nimble car.

  • Awesome sound, design, and tech! I can't wait to get mine. :-)

  • I guess, we can install every sound. =) But DAMN... it's awesome! =)

  • WOW! THat thing is Amazing!!!! I cant wait til I can get my hands on one. Its sounds better than the Batmobile. The Karma was only announced in January too so they've gotten here in only 4 months. Incredible. This IS the future.

  • Absolutely amazing!! What a sound, it looks like a F-18!! This will be my next car!!

  • sounds like KITT.

  • Man that a sweet sound!!
