Why does everyone say, "Oh, he could have had a triangle." That dude was postured up too high!!! Second, the average fighter oversaeas doesn't go for triangles, they are trying to kill you!!!!! You cannot compare Military Combatives to sport MMA. They are just competing in a ring to keep themselves sharp if they happen to need to engage in hand to hand combat during deployments. So all you keyboard ADCC champions need to get off of your high horse.

soldiers also have to fight with 4o lbs of ta-50 on with thereweapons slung to their chest. ufc fighters dont. its a whole lot harder with the gear on, trust me i know.

@Dustin1193 yeah the military sucks at teaching grappling. the way that the army curriculum teaches you to get out of their guard is to slide one arm out...setting yourself up for triangle every time

@pe6eye9em1pe In the army they have Combatives or "MMA" some people might say if you go infantry you will go through all four stages of Combatives and there are Tournaments you can sign up for. Up here in South Dakota there was 2 Olympic wrestlers that are still in the Army a month ago. I don't know if Marines have combatives tournaments though? Just remember Rangers Lead The Way! HOOAH!!

Way better than anything on UFC ,I think not. Lots of respect to any one who trains and serve their country but these are some of the best in the army ,The UFC has some of the best in the world.

@usernameerby A UFC fighters only job in the whole world is to stay in shape and to train to be the best fighter in the whole world, thats their whole life. Of course a soldier cannot stand up to that, even if the dedication and will is there they still have to work there 6am to 5pm job every day of the week and find time outside of that to train and stay in shape (unless they are reserves or gaurd). I prefer watching "amatuer" fights like this because it seems more real to me, a real fight.

@35november soldiers have to also train everyday in shooting, small unit tactics, ambush, etc.... UFC fighters dont use weapons or wear body armour for training....

Are these "anything goes" kind of fights, or just what you learned in Combatives? Because I'm trained in Wu-Dao Muay-Thai, and I'd love to exercise some of that in the ring!
