  • Hey great video.. I'm going to make my girlfriend a bracelet.. I just have a quick question.. how do I put a charm on and make it look nice? I want to put one of those small metal rings through it and another to latch it to the bracelet. Where would I go to find that? Other suggestions? thank you.

  • Come and join tyrer's trinkets page, it is full of cute and affordable bracelets at just £2 each. Take a look at the page to see if there is anything you might want to purchase, much appreciated. Find us on Facebook under 'Tyrer's Trinkets'.

  • Fab video and great as I am a beginner. What size is the crimp bead you are using?

  • Yeeeee! thx for nothing.

  • I heard you say crimp bead...that's where I get confused with all the little finishing ad-on items you need for bracelets, earrings and necklaces ect...I could never remember the names of them and when to use them....do you have list & picture of them all... O and what each of them is used for....that would be sooooo helpful

  • Ok....like so.thanks...like so!

  • OMG in the beginning i thought they weren't ur legs, but sth else :D

  • when you say: strech bracelet it sounds like how to make a car. that's very simple, guys!

  • youtube.com/watch?v=2pu0j1vWijo

  • Really liked the idea of the crimp bead as I have had bad luck with my knots holding. But if you use a crimper tool with your crimp bead, you can crimp it to a round shape which would possibly fit inside a bead and not really show. Good video.

  • This was neat I like the idea of using crimp beads I've never done that before. My question.. have you ever had a problem with them coming apart?

Second question... you said to use E6000 glue when you tie it in a knot I was told to use nail polish which would be better?

  • Where do you get your beads?

  • OMG I just discovered you and u have my name! except i spell it cameron

  • cool! where do you get the stretch magic from?

  • Really neat, my kids always want to be like me whenever I wear my bracelets. this way i can make them some that are age appropiate. thanks i like your video

  • great video..it looks really easy

  • how long does that stretch string last I bought my daugterr some beads and things to try to get her to be A lil entrapeneur and make graduation bracelets for her class because she liek creating things but that string looks like it dont last long she started using rubberbands any suggestions for her

  • what size crimp beads do you need for 7mm sting?

  • Pink, you can buy the cord at wal-mart and craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Michaels

  • i thought you were supposed to stretch your cord before you start? oh and this is my son's username..haha...i am NOT lonely lover.

  • where do you buy the stretchi cord?

  • I know you said you shouldn't use Swarovski crystals but what about their pearls?

  • so can u use any beads u want besides crystal beads ???

  • @ronnied5251, don't worry about the weight! If they feel too heavy after you've strung them on stretch, switch to wire! What I would recommend though is checking the hole for imperfections. If any part of the hole is jagged it will-over time-cut through stretch cord. If you find any imperfections, look into buying a bead reamer. Best of luck! :)

  • where do you buy your beads? and the stings and they plyers

  • where do you buy your beads? and the stings and they plyers

  • I Have Gold Metal Like Beads,, They're Very Nice Looking,, Do You Recommend Using Stretchy Cord Or A Wire Type Cord,, I Have A Set Of 30 And Wen They're All In My Hand There Is A LITTLE Weight But Not Anything Crazy But When You're Holding Them Separately They're Very Light, Im Just Scared They'd Cut The Stretchy Cord Because Of The Metal??

  • Great Video! I'm going to go look for my beads now! :)

    Thanks for posting.

  • what size crimp bead? i wonder

  • can u make a tutorial on how to make the chinese bracelet? please.

  • I was intrigued by that! Thanks x

  • Thanks exellent I make beaded wind spinners and always have odd extra beads left over this will be a great way to use them

  • I like the music!

  • why do u need 2 pairs of pliars?

  • how do you keep from cutting through the stretch cord? When I've used crimp beads, I've had them cut through. Maybe I am pressing too hard?, but it has to be tight enough to avoid slippage.

  • how would you tie a naught in the stretch bracelet? because i dont have any crimp beads, and found it really difficult to tie a naught , its very hard and difficult. thanks!

  • @AHollsten01 try tying multiple overhand knots

  • Great - thanks!

  • o this is wonderful lol, i never new what a crimp bead was, ill have to get some (but then again i am 12 so i have an exuse for not knowing what they are haha)

  • those look so good dat i thought they were store bought

  • thanks for the simple video, i have been looking for one a few times and finally found this. i have been tieing mine but want to try this method extra security,,,you make it sound easy...

  • Good video, but I have a useless question. What's the second pair of pliers for?

  • Good question. In the last step when crimping the bead, you can use the extra pliers or your hand (which I did)!

  • @kameronkay , Hi, is call flat nose plier

  • Thank you for the VERY simple video! I've been planning on making bracelets for my family and friends for Christmas and the video helps.

  • Thanks for the video!(: Where can you get crimp beads and stretch cord? They don't seem to have it at my local art supply store, and I want to avoiding purchasing online.

  • Thanks for the help i always use a knot and i am always afraid that it is going to come on done so thanks for the tip next time i make one i will use a crimp bead

  • Is there a way to do it without crimp beads?

  • Yes - You can tie a knot or two and use E6000 glue. But I prefer the crimp bead for extra safety :-)

  • @moonbelle98 Look up "surgeons knot"

Do two surgeons knots and then a normal overhand knot over the two surgeon style knots. I find it to be perfectly secure. Make sure it's very tight, though. Surgeons knots prevent slipping (exactly how it got the name since it is used for stitches and what not)

  • ur great!!! thanks 4 posting =o)

  • wow such a good way to secure it together with the crimp bead. Does it hold tho? i would be scared it would come apart I thought you always had to tie knots? also it would be nice to use a crimp bead cover so it looks just like a silver bead. great tho well done ;-)

  • Yes - Crimp bead covers look fab! Great suggestion.

  • Yes - It does hold....But it can be sketchy if you use crystals (they cut through) or heavy stones....stick with light small beads and don't pull on the bracelet when wearing :-) I have a bad habit of doing that?!

  • Great tutorial. I am going to make some ankle bracelets using this style. ;)

  • I use "Stretch Magic" and try to use the thickest width for extra security!

  • I'm so happy that you tried the Stretch Magic again and that it was a success! I always use crimps, never knots....

Quick tip - NEVER use crystals as they cut through the stretch Magic...I learned the hard way!

  • thanks kameron i really appreciate this tutorial i have been wanting to know how to make stretch braccelets for a long time; i know how to bead already. I can't wait I am going make me some stretch bracelets soon!!!

  • I agree! I bought stretch magic and had to try tying it a few times after having beads go flying because the knots didn't stay closed, then finally tried a few times more, and tryed a bit different knot and it held!! So trial and error.. I didn't used any crimp though..

    good luck!
