There are many examples. Almost every governor, for the first time, has economic development programs. They are building roads and infrastructure, except for communications, to grow their cities. The governments are working with the people to grow industries such as mining, agriculture and advanced sciences. They just received freedom 7 years. It is like the US in the year 1800.

What do you think France and Germany thought about creating an EU in 1946? While we measure success by country I think regions are stronger. Regions can grow together, I think most countries will find that difficult in todays globalized world. Not understanding this hurts the US.
