You can never kill the "internet", as it is just a huge lan.

Me, my neighbour, and everyone we know, that live in the same area(or larger scale if you're gonna invest money into it), could setup a simple lan between us(wifi or wired if we'd so'd like), and there you go, another "internet" is born.

I have to ask one question, in the U.K they say and they're adament with saying this that by 2012 the whole country will be going digital, does that not somehow contradict this or is it part of what's explained in this clip basically they're cutting down the number of companies and service providers so that basically it'll become a limited set of services that require subscription?
