There's nothing wrong with Oswald's voice here. It's just that when the recording was being done, their equipment slowed down a little bit. Anyway, it's not that bad. Aside of the very beginning, the rest of the cartoon is fine.

@YoSnap0001 what do you expect back then no one gave a dang about voice acting they just grab some one and tell them to read the lines till Disney showed the how it was suppose to be done
@jonahinfo101 Actually, Disney owns the rights to the character and the cartoons that the Disney Studio produced. Universal owns the rights to the cartoons THEY produced, as well as the Winkler-produced Oswalds that were distributed by Universal.
I have a feeling that Oswald will get a boost of popularity after Epic Mickey. Of course, it helps that his voice actor will be Rob Paulsen for Epic Mickey 8D
@XennaXDemyx In order for Oswald to shine again, it'll probably take more than a video game. Video games (at least in my view) don't seem to be a popular like they used to. When they were at the peak of their popularity, I guess that was during the early years of Mario Bros., Sonic the Hedgehog, and PacMan. Therefore, I think Disney should put him in a TV series or better yet a feature film.
Armed with a magical paintbrush that he managed to pull into the world with him, Mickey must stop the Phantom Blot, gain Oswald's trust and save the Cartoon Wasteland.
The Mad Doctor works closely with the Blot, creating robotic "Beetleworx", which are strange creatures that consist of combinations of various Disney cartoon characters
Years later, Mickey has forgotten his past transgression; the mirror in his home comes to life and pulls him into the Cartoon Wasteland. Oswald, his will lost and twisted by his jealousy of Mickey's rise to fame, has formulated a plan to destroy Mickey
who attempts to take control of the Wasteland from its first resident and Mickey's older half-brother - Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Oswald and the other residents of the Cartoon Wasteland fight against the Phantom Blot,
Hearing Yen Sid approaching, Mickey quickly cleans up and flees back to his home. However, the spill of paint and paint thinner create a being called the Phantom Blot,
Yen Sid's study, sees the model, and waits until Yen Sid is gone before going back to take another look at it. Fiddling with it, Mickey accidentally spills paint and paint thinner onto the model
for his forgotten and rejected creations, held in an intricate model on a table, and accessible through a mirror. Mickey, who steps through a mirror from his home and finds himself inside
Yeah, I do love poor ol Oswald. I think he will have sort of a comeback after the release of Epic Mickey. I mean, they really are half-brothers in a way.

@DrinkemoV8@DrinkemoV8 I agree, I prefer it when Oswald is either silent or speaks jibberish (like in Trolly Troubles, the first shot he appeared in), I haven't heard a voice for him yet that seems to fit, they're usually too deep or just don't fit his personality.
@DrinkemoV8 duh he has Donald's temper and fighting spirit, goofy's lovableness and loyalty, and mickeys brains, courage, leadership, and heart he's perfect
@Ryoku75 In 1939, the Phantom Blot was created by Floyd Gottfredson for the Mickey Mouse newspaper cartoon; he was a foreign spy who tried to kill Mickey in a series of deathtraps that never worked properly (he claimed that he was too softhearted to kill face-to-face); his name came from his outfit, which was a head- to-toe bedsheet, only, it was dark black, like an ink blot.
@Ryoku75 the Phantom Blot? As i said, he was created for the MM newspaper cartoons.... in those days, the Mickey strip was a "serial" with Mickey in long adventures where he defeated everything from sea pirates to crooked politicians (As far as I know, the Phantom blot was never used in animation)
@Kevxtreme21 The 13 existing Disney made Oswald cartoons were compiled together into Walt Disney Treasures: The Adventures of Oswald The Lucky Rabbit. Ten of the Lantz made Oswald are spread across the two Woody Woodpecker Classic Cartoon Collections, five on each one respectively.
@Riddler95 They compiled what they could find. Universal did not take good care of the original Oswald Rabbit negatives, to say the least. Disney had to find the footage they could from a worldwide search, even having to resort to using reissued versions of the original prints. The 13 shorts on the collection were all they could find, with some pencil test footage for a 14th short.
You're an evil, stupid somebody with no sense of humor, ain't you? The best works of art, including cartoons, have some sort of logic, even if it's wild Tex Avery-WB type logic. Go get a brain, and come back and talk to me.
Oswald is so terribly underrated. A wonderful cartoon character, and since he is of such great importance to the evolution of Disney, I can't understand why he dosn't get the respect he deserves.

Tex Avery used to work on these cartoons before he went to Warner's and were heavily influenced on Warner's cartoons.
He contributed the gag of the deadpan singer singing "Go Get the Axe", voiced by Pinto Colvig (later Disney's Goofy and was also an animator at Lantz)
