  • how is this cool? im in the retarted part of youtube

  • @FrenchieGreg Why are you here if you don't like it?

  • DOUBLE RAINBOXCARS!

  • @Kitfugl That's pretty good. It took me a second...

  • @fhqwgads2 wtf?

  • @Kitfugl I meant that I found your comment humorous. However, I didn't "get it" right away.

  • @fhqwgads2 Oh. :-)

  • 2 meio di 1

  • Sounds like a porn movie Two trains one tunnel L0L

  • great video !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks

  • @danju911 - Same reason you troll YouTube - he likes to.

  • it would be funny, if the name of the video was: Two Trains One Tunnel, but only one track !

  • Прикольно)

  • and what happens when someone needs to go the other way

  • @TheNoisycricket96 they wait lol

  • I was fur sure there was going to be something dirty in this video..

  • @SK3L3TOR ...I like the way you think

  • @SK3L3TOR Boxcars?

  • @Kitfugl Two Boxcars, one Tunnel, why not! Being the most versatile car on the train, it can usually carry the most heavy LOADS.

  • disused tunnel next to mainline one, looks of smaller gauging.

  • @Bignadim No there were two tunnel at on time the tunnel on the right (camera right) had one track and the other one on the left had a track in it but in 1994 Conrail wanted to run double stack containers over this line but the tunnels were to low. So they enlarged the one on the right (camera right) and move the track from the tunnel on the left to the right tunnel. I think the left one still is used by MOW vehicles.

  • Looks like N gauge next to HO. :-)

  • Probably the other train was late so they put it on the "illegal" track to overtake the freighter

  • Thumbs up for that! That was awesome!!

  • Nice vid. What was the smaller tunnel for.

  • @whatihave2do I think someone said it was an original tunnel, but they enlarged the one tunnel, and left the other closed up......maybe google the Gallitzin tunnel?

  • @whatihave2do

If I remember correctly, it's the original tunnel. When they completed the new one, they abandoned the old one.

    Frank

  • nice

  • Niet doordenken!

  • where is this filmed?

  • @mrga009 Gallitzin, PA

  • Gotta love those sd40-2s

  • I here ya there!

  • if someone tells to run from the light he really means run from the light

  • Where's that other hole go? I want to check it out.

  • The other hole that your refering to is actually another tunnel like this one. Prior to 1994, both tunnels (the one in use and the abandoned one) were single track tunnels but in 1994, the one is use was temporarly taken out of service to be enlarged to allow double stack container trains to go through it. As part of this project, the track that went through the other tunnel was relocated to the other tunnel, in essence turning it from two single track tunnels to one double track tunnel

  • @DASCO2136 Thanks for the answer. So can people walk through the old tunnel or not?

  • @waterskippers Its possible. Norfolk Southern uses the tunnel at times as an access road for maintanence trucks to reach remote areas. Plus i hear that they keep it in a good state of repair in case of a large traffic surge and they need to install another track temporarily

  • Nice gape.

  • threesome

  • i hate seeing abandoned train tracks like the one to the far left

  • i dont catch that

  • How come they are both going in the same direction?

  • Excellent shot!

  • The main reason for the new tunnel was so double stack container trains can get through - coast to coast container freight is one of the main things US railroads do these days.

  • yeah so cool (sarcasm)

    2 trains

    side by side

    how awesome

  • I though at first it was a model train set, haaa

  • That's so cool, so cool!

  • I wish I had chick friends who thought trains were "So Cool" like these ones at 0:50 Seconds... lol

  • It's little baby train riding along side mama train!

  • Comment removed

  • @annaliese257

omfg! a worthless comment! And the point of this is..?

  • ok, what was so great about this???

  • I've seen porn movies like this

  • what a big train

  • coool

  • Wonder why the rear DPUs are manned...

  • @musicandtrains because the DPU's are only used for about 20 or so miles then they get removed it is not like on UP where the DPU's are used for 100s of miles

  • @musicandtrains Not DPU's, helper units. Manned units attached to the end of trains to get over the summitt of the Allegheny Mts.

  • The small tunnel was a train tunnel before they abandoned it

  • the tunnel you see with 2 tracks use to be a single tunnel with one track and the 2nd track was threw the other tunnel you see. there are actually 3 tunnels. but you cant see the 3rd from here its down the road but on the other side of these tunnels you can see all 3. these tunnels are part of the rail that comes around the horse shoe curve in altoona pa

  • what was that small tunnel for?

  • @BILLYJO90 The small tunnel was a train tunnel before they abandoned it

  • @11254cdk thnx for answering a question i was about to put down!

  • @MichiganFann your welcome.

  • whats the small tunnel looks like henrys tunnel

  • @legocaptainfordo You know, it does kind of look like Henry's tunnel from Thomas.

  • Wow, I've never seen that before!

  • WHOA!! kinda reminds you of those porno movies with dbl anal penetration !! woot!! 5 starfishes for this vid!!

  • lol^^ because of the title, right^^

  • cargo and passenger! hehe nice vid 5*****

  • Nice vid man! Check out some of my videos.

  • Gosh! Railways and trains in the US suck

  • @JOHNDEEREDRIVER100, it's Gallitzin PA on the fomer Pennsylvania Railroad mainline, now Norfolk Southern Railway.

  • Aren't multilevels called autoracks?

  • At 0:22 a light begins to appear in the darkened tunnel

  • look at the Size of the Freight trains Cars and the size of the coaches there is a big difference then stop it at 0:49.

  • Really nice catch!!!!!!!

I love the lady in the background going "That's so cool!"

  • Gidday from downunder Australia

Crikey that's a bloody awesome video mate, thanks for sharing.

  • The Amtrak train should have been faster. What if they gutted the Amtrak locomotives and built a faster, more environmentally friendly engine?

  • for a moment i though the amtrack loco was going slow, then i realized it was just the size of the autoracks which made it look small haha

  • This is a great video. I'd be so nervous to be on one of those trains as close as they were to each other.

  • Wow, it's amazing how big the freight looks compared to the passenger train!

  • the fastest growing sport: Train Racing! hahha

  • That's pretty cool. Where I railfan...I see 2 trains side-by-side all the time. In fact, one time...the crossing gates didn't go up until 6 trains had went by. However...I didn't have my camcorder ready in time. Talk about heart-breaking.

  • what the goddamn crap?

  • that first train had a company called CSX it runs right next to my dad's work and goes to NYC from upstate.

  • this was probably insprired by Henry's tunnel from thomas the tank engine

  • Those autoracks make the P42 look absolutely miniscule.lol

  • When Conrail had the railroad they had the tunnel on the right redone to allow double-stack and put both tracks in one tunnel....I was there about 12-13 years ago when they were doing the work.....they still have the rails in the tunnel just in case they ever had to use it....

  • Whats the story with the dead / abandoned tunnel on the left?

  • one big and one too small,..cool

  • double stufft

  • The size difference between the two trains is cool

  • holy shit im going to wet my pants there's two trains going side by side

  • LOL!

  • usually with only 2 tracks one train is going in the opposite direction to the other, thats unusual to see 2 trains side by side going in the same direction

  • rare catch here! I've never seen 2 trains heading the same direction at Galetzin before! Nice catch here! porbably what will happen is 07T will get ahead of the autorack and then pass in front while the autoracks wait

  • neither have I, usually I see 1 train goin this way and one train going that way.

  • I stayed there last yr one nite.

  • WHY SPAM YOU

  • if one of the two trains derail the other one is screwed lol

  • If you were lying down really tight in the middle could you survive?

  • Wow Long Train

Come to Tokyo if liking a train.

     See my favoritfs

  • looks like there used to be an opld trian tunnel to the left of that one! cool!

  • nice!

  • come on surely that happens all the time :)

  • most or just about all the trains that go the opposite direction go in another tunnel the third main about a quarter to half a mile down the road its hard to see trains there the third main used to be where the third tunnel is

    VERY NICE VIDEO!

  • What 3rd tunnel would you be talking about??

  • shouldnt they be going the opposite direction or is it a tunnel where they both head the same way, like freight line and passenger line?

  • wow/now what were the chances of him being at the spot at the time and that train being overtaken right there? almost like being at the exact spot at the end of 2 trains, going the opposite direction and both trains having cabooses at the end wow

  • left at the third tunnel, was there a track once?

  • @TheGondorian Yep.

  • That's not a suprise 2 me or any1 who goes to the ALTOONA area.

That happens 24 hrs a day.

    AMTHRAX!! lol Amtrak's "PENNSYLVANIAN"

  • Wow! So, any Amtrak coming from Philly through Harrisburg (NS is sooo lucky in PA), through Pittsburgh, and on to Cleveland, etc. HAS to come through itty litty lil Gallitzin, PA. Train lover bonus there. Thanks for the footage.

  • Nice! But what's that line on the left side? Looks like its out of service. :P

  • that was pretty kool

  • great filming !

  • Is that a disused train tunnel to the left?

  • no its probly a servise tunnel. it looks to small to be another train tunnel but hey what do i know lol

  • @Coswini no its a abandoned train tunnel.

  • The tunnel to the left was one of the original tunnels. There is a video on youtube called *9-unit Westbound at Gallitiz* that shows the tunnel being used.

  • That would be Gallitzin, sorry!

  • @somefreak90 yes.

  • Cool video.

  • the title of this video reminds me of another video i have seen...

  • that other video was nasty as hell...

  • I was excited to see this video, as i have been to Gallitzen many times. I have never seen 2 trains both going the same direction at the same time though, great catch indeed!!

  • The Amtrak is #43, The Pennsylvanian. Running relatively on time. Amazing, isn't it?

  • @scotlander1 Dumbass, its a train tunnel.

  • @killionreggiethickcunt........its called irony you fuckkin twat

  • @scotlander1 upsetting other people again? great Mod clip btw, trainspotting is more your scene isnt it : )

  • Great catch.

  • sweet

  • yay trains

  • I agree with the lady in the video. So cool! And I like the Leslie horn on the rear helpers on the freight as well!

  • Very cool! I bet it's trippy in that huge tunnel.

  • feaking awesome!
