another problem i had with the game is the feeling that half of the city population is guards, guards who have the memory of a gold fish. you asasinate 2 of the guards buddies on his eyes run like 10 meters behind corner into a hay stack he loses agro and then you can dance in front of him and he wont remember you at all. less guards but make them more determined

@tobin00 Assassin's Creed 2 review error.You do get pulled back from the Animus at least once when you try your new skills aquired by doing missions in the animus.Something like the bleeding effect or something and then you have like an out-of-the-animus-experience and you're Altair and you get laid and stuff. It's like 5 hours into the game though so no biggie. I don't know if you get pulled back out or somethin after but i'll keep on playing and see. BUT it's one of the greatest games i played

Unlike Brutal Legend, I watch your reveiw of Assassin's Creed 2 way before buying the game, and I saw all it's good aspects, yet I couldn't get the fun out of it.: (

While in REDC's case, I saw your reveiw of it the day I bought the game, right after getting stuck on Birkin's ledge fight, and you destroyed the game for me; making me hate it to an extent, till now; even more when you said that it was better than REUC, well the 1st is: pure fun and joy to me, while the 2nd is: meh. In AC2, they also really improved the combat. In the first one all you had to do is block and counter on any enemy, in AC2 there's guys like Brutes which you can't counter. It's not amazing, but it's a lot better than AC1.

am i the only one who finds the motion blur, screen tearing and constant popin in ac2 as something that ruins the game. it's one of those games thats so good that the small faults are so pronounced. the leaps of faith in ac2 look weird when he hits the haystack but they looked perfect in ac1. and when you do a viewpoint the city looks weird and blurry and shaky when the camera circles ezio.

Another thing with combat if u have a sword or knife out. Certain enemys can knock ur sword out of ur hands. And if it happens before the villa u have to fuckin rebuy your weapon, or find it on the ground, it doesnt dissapear if udont load something. Its pretty tricky.

The second I heard that 'Christian...' (french guy) was actually going to think about BG&E 2 I squealed a little.

It's a shame though, but I expect because of the time gap, the intention to bring the game in a different path and the way they will most likely shove in so many modern parts of gameplay - it won't live up.

It's just like they said with the prince of persia series - if there is anything ubisoft fans have learned, it's that they like going a bit too far with their sequels.

If I have more than one of a certain class of weapon (such as a warhammer and a captain's sword), how in the world do I switch between them. I mean, I bought both so I own both, but I can't figure out how I switch back to my sword now that I have this dumb warhammer thing. Please help!

@jeterman23ny you have to go back to your villa and switch it in front of the racks of weapon in your exposition room at the left of the front entrance. Same thing for any weapon or pieces of armor (the armor are in the next room thoug)

The only two major complaints I have on Assassin's Creed 2, besides the ending, are sometime when platforming the camera angles change drastically which normally results in me falling off a really high beam and dying, often the case for the assassin tombs. And they should have allowed it so Ezio can buy spears and axes. Some of the spear counter-kills are awesome, ie. throwing it through someone's face...
