  • what rev do you shift at? this is a good video, like you said if you ever lose your clutch and need to get home you can do this.

also you should be able to start a car in first gear to get you going

  • dman my friend never uses his clutch passed 2 gear even when he coms 2 a complete stop he gives it gas an can jam that shit in to 1 a go crazy but true

  • Well, the car is 40k miles older than the making of this video and still being occasionally shifted clutchlessly.

    Nothing visible so far.

  • so is it bad for your syncro's or not? just wondering im not trying to put down your video in any way, i enjoyed and 5 stared it. im just curious..

  • I'll let you know when that happens. 20k miles later it's still doing fine.

  • im gonna laugh when u burn your gears out...

  • unnecessary load on the gearbox that really is awesome.

  • Done right it's not any load. It will be your only way of moving a manual with a damaged clutch pedal assembly.

  • No. There is much more load, because the torque from the engine is still turning the gearbox when the shift is made.

  • There's no load applied in the split second that you are moving the stick. You rely on clever timing to make sure the gears are synchronized w/o clutch.

When you back off the gas there's a split second when the gears are spinning faster then the engine due to inertia.

    Think/google before you post.

  • nothing new

  • yeh, i agree

  • i like it :D
