Any guitar player will tell you that Dave's rhythm work makes James Hetfield's rhythm work look like kindergarden, not just in terms of speed or difficulty, but originality too. James can't sing without making this sound after every words... It sounds like "Awaaaah" after ever verse... Sorta sounds like "yea ahhhhhh" and "ahhhhh" yeah I think some people know what I am trying to say.... I mean "Sayahhhhohhhhwahhh"

Both bands and guys sucked until there masterpieces "risk" and the epic "Saint Anger" Other than that metallicas demo albums of the 80s and early nineties sucked along with megadeths. For a real band who has stayed consistant and is much more influential and creative check out Nickelback or Staind.

Even with Megadeth putting out Cryptic Writings and Risk (horrible).. they beat Countrica anyday of the week. Metallica USED to be good. But after getting all MTVified with Enter Sandman and Nothing Else Matters after their Black album, they sold out big time, changed their sound to a more VH1 friendly type, and look like a bunch of jokers. At least Mustaine and co. stayed true to metal.
Dave has never sold out. He's even become more radical with his playing and songwriting, as time passed. That can't be said for Metallica. Since Ride the Lightning, Metallica has always stuck to a certain formula, and that formula has become more and more watered-down, in order to cater to the masses and Viacom. I love both bands, but the truth has to be said. Megadeth is rich, black coffee. Metallica has become a light, sweet frappuccino.

Dave doesn't have what it takes to expand outside of the box musically. He also doesn't have the voice that hetfield has. That being said RIP is an amazing album.

@Broezzz Metallica was my favorite band, untill i heard St.Anger and everything else post Black album, which sucks, though DeathMagnetic is a step in the right direction, it still kinda sucked, Megadeth and Metallica are both great bands but Megadeth has a wider selection which is also much more varied and does not have a ten year gap of, in my opinion, every thing is total shit.

risk was done (as every single album of megadeth) only by dave mustaine, in a rush, coming back from a nerve injury at his left arm, with new musicians in the band because the other idiots didnt wanted to go back to megadeth... St Anger was done with all the time they needed and with the same old musicians in the band. Risk had good solos, maybe not the same sound but was still Thrash.. St. Anger isnt even pop!

jajaja. Me imagino que no debes tener idea de tocar la guitarra y de cantar. Los temas de Megadeth son super faciles y de cantar arriba tambien.
Aparte los mejores riffs de la historia los tiene Hetfield y es muchisimo mejor compositor.
Metallica sabe implementar estructuras melodicas que nunca las vas a escuchar ni en Megadeth ni en Maiden. Aunque son 2 bandas increibles tambien, ojo!.
Por eso dicen que Metallica se vendio. Es la envidia de que no pueden hacer lo mismo que
