I wanted to take a stab at a film genere that has LONG been overlooked.
Also, my camera doesn't have sound and doesn't have zoom. It's the closest thing you would find in the digital camera era to an authentic 1900's era 35mm hand crank camera.
Sadly, these movies and often overlooked because of one simple thing...the fact that these modern restoration companies don't understand that the music WAS a major part of what made the silent films so great.
Modern companies don't seem to understand this. For example, how many silent films on DVD have love music in the horror sections and horror music in the love scenes? Someone isn't paying attention, and I wonder if they even care.
As to why I choose to make silent films as opposed to talkies is a combination of two things.
I fell that the films of the silent era are excellent. They had powerful, interesting and beautiful stage actors who relied on large facial and hand expressions, used hand made sets, and applied hand made make-up. What they had to work with was 100% real and not computer generated like today.
First off, ThanX for pointing out the only card I misspelled. I thought I had them all 100% perfect, so in my pursuit of movie excellence, I'll check harder on the next films.
second off, I play the "moving" monster, and I'm 5'11". Richard and Andre are over the 6' mark, so I guess I do appear smaller.
It was ok. This part was better than the other ones. And good ending.
