It really is the best mascara. The formula doesn't come out all clumpy on the brush, and it doesn't dry rock hard and flaky like so many other mascaras. You can press harder on your lashes and "style" (curl) them with this mascara. You can also go over your lashes several times with this mascara to control how thick you want it.

yeah and as you might have guessed i dont use mascara frequently. this is the second mascara i bought in my life (im 18) so yeah, id be grateful if youd answer my previous question, oh and like i suppose planning to use the mascara like only on special occasions is pointless right? since it will like dry up or i heard bacteria start growing in the tube..

if all you did was open it, i would say you're okay to use it for a while. normally, once you start using a mascara every day, you should exchange it every 2-3 months. i usually go through one once every 1-2 months. i'd say you're okay until you start to actually use it, at which point you should throw it out after about 2-3 months =)

after watching your video and reading a couple of reviews i went out and bought hypnose. and i just have a question, i didnt try it yet but i did open the tube, and i took the brush out like a few times. this was of course before i read comments on the internet saying that mascara is good for like a month or 3 months at most after being opened.. so im just wondering if it will still be ok to use like in a month or 2? i dont really plan on using it during the summer.

well, once you open the mascara and expose it to air, it starts to "go bad" i guess. the bacteria build-up comes from actually using the product on your eyelashes. just adding air to the mascara doesn't actually add "bacteria"

XD I used to sneak into my moms makeup all the time and I remember being in love with one of her lancome mascaras. But, the bottle wasn't as large and it was more of a straight bottle. I think it was an older version, but that was the only mascara that actually made it look like I had fuller lashes^^ Thanks for a great review=DD

I know the waterproof version holds your curl when you apply the mascara, but as for that version [non-waterproof, since it doesn't have the blue band], does it not weigh down your lashes? As in it makes your lashes unravel its curl? I have that problem with lancome definicils, so I have stick to dior blackout waterproof, but the brush is just too big..

that's funny that you say that.... i never use waterproof mascara. it's too hard to get off and it's only WATER proof (not sweat proof, tear proof). i don't find that it "uncurls" my lashes at all - it does the opposite ! =)

Well I didn't use diorshow waterproof...

I only used the normal.. and now I can't even remember if it gave me panda eyes, all I can remember is that it was really good at lengthening, thickening and giving your lashes the "fake eyelash look".. well for me anyway..

generally "panda eyes" happen because your eye makeup smudges on your undereye area. this could be happening because you rub your eyes without realizing, or your makeup doesn't stay on your eyes well.

just carry some q-tips soaked in makeup remover (drug stores sell these pre-made) in your purse and wipe off the "panda eyes" throughout your day :)

well they all do different things... hypnose i definitely recommend for volume and length (more volume), i haven't tried l'extreme but definicil is great for seperating and lengthening.

i love hypnose a lot as well.

it's easy to glide on to your lashes

user friendly brushes (diorshow brush is so hard to use)

quite durable but yet easy to wash off by any make up remover.

i wear hypnose non waterproof everyday even in summer , i never get racoon eyes eve when i take a nap

racoon eyes..? if you're prone to getting mascara on your eyelid by accident and stuff, i recommend you put on mascara first (before eyeshadow and eyeliner) so you can wipe away any smears with a wet q-tip or something =)

and no i dont use waterproof..just the regular.

I ended up buying the waterproof mascara. I get raccoon eyes because I have oily lids and not because I get it on the lids by accident. I LOOOOVE this stuff. Makes my stubby asian lashes more noticeable and no raccoon eyes!

from one asian in toronto to another..i recommend u try out Ardell's Brow and Lash Growth Accelerator mascara...it's a clear gel mascara that u'd use each night before going to bed...give about 2-3 weeks and u'll notice the difference w/ ur lashes..it will be longer and fuller since it actually make ur lashes grow...i got it at walmart...kinda hard to find them now but make note of it and if u ever run into it, definitely get it..it's only bout 5 bucks or so..thnx to this i now have lonng lashes

build the layers - apply one, wait a few seconds, apply another, then another, then another.. and it'll get fuller =) and you have to use it for a couple of weeks to get the real texture . im glad you like it though!
