"Keep it up, Fortisque". "It seems that I am dealing with inferior mentalities". At times, it would seem that Daffy Duck could keep his wits about him when dealing "morons" like these examples. My favorite Warner Bros. character next Marvin the Martian. "After that creature and return that Eludium Q36 Explosive Space Modulator!".
LOL, memories come flowing back like a raging river through a busted up Hoover Dam. This and several others are what made me a Daffy Duck Fan for life, to the point I hated how Bugs always got the best stuff and Daffy got the leftovers if anything.
I'm in love with the animation in this. It feels like the stuff Rod Scribner did with Robert McKimson as director, only a lot looser and with more of the kind of timing he used in the cartoons he worked on under Clampett's direction.
This was, as you can see, done ine CineColor, so it came out a lot earlier. This and about 15 others. Director Art Davis did most of those. This was due to Technicolor backlogging...a former Associated Artists reissue like the above #1069 made right after a Bugs/ Elmer short, and a personal favorite of mine, "Hare Do", which, since Bugs is in it,. is Technicolor, released much later, January 15, 1949, and thus escapted the A.A.P. package, but at #1068, was the short made BEFORE the one above
I really don't like how they did daffy on the looney tunes show because hes a loser who's broke and he's freeloader however I do like the fact that they didn't make him a bitter greedy asshole I miss the old wise quackin daffy duck
WOW. Now I haven't seen this is a long time lol. This is a real classic and it shows an interesting Daffy. Not really wacky, but not greedy either. He's more like Bugs than anything. Extremely clever.
I will shave my eyebrows in public for a recording of Daffy's rendition of "King For A Day", tho I'll also confess that Bugs Bunny has the grander finale (check him out in his encounter with the Three Bears) :-)

LOL It seams the only time Daffy can outsmart Elmer is when Bugs is not around. :)
