It's not fake, but if you look closely at the goalkeeper's hands at the moment of the shot, you'll notice that they're suddenly more towards his body. They cutted some tenths of a second to make the shot look fast.. (sorry for bad english?)

It didn't get blocked. Went right in the goal. Not sure what video you're looking at. If you can't see it, you can at least hear it hitting the metallic "receptical" behind the goal. The fact that it went in is also supported by the guy who then pushes the ball back to center with his hand.

Nobody is going to be able to tell what shot is faster, with an ordinary video recording, as well as following what path a ball took on the table. Its sometimes hard to see a fast shot in person, when you're only a couple feet away,  but would be impossible on a video recording. This is and will continue to be the major problem that stymies foosball from getting the same TV coverage as other sports.

Things might be different when all digital cams come with a high speed setting option.

I have seen Rico Collignon in front of me. I know what is fast. And this guy at the Bonzini is fast, but not the fastest. It's too bad frames get lost with digital camera's. Maybe someone can use a camera that shoots more frames per second, so the slow motion get's better.

Would there be an interest in a simple device that measures shot speed? I modified one of my hand-held foos timer designs to accept outside triggers for the internal timer. A switch toggles between timing of one event and tournament timing mode (two buttons for 20 and 10 sec timers, with audio report). Shot time starts with the takeoff of the ball from a dead stop and ends when the ball hits the goal. A readout shows the time displayed down to .000001 sec. Its simple but very accurate.

I have to say it's a pretty fast shot. I play in foosball tournaments two to three times a week and I've never seen a shot this fast. I also work in video production. When I look at the back goalie row during the split second shot the back row jumps/skips like the video was sped up for only a split second during the shot. Maybe I'm wrong but that's what it looks like to me.

This video proves that, what many pro masters say about push shots, is incorrect. A push shot CAN be as fast as (and even faster than) a pull shot. Many claim it cannot due to the dynamics and physics of the two shots. But I've seen push shots as fast and even faster than Billy Pappas pull shot (who is said to have on of the fastest pulls in the world). It's all in the set-up of the shot.

That is not a push shot. It is called a push kick.

Actually, the shot in this vid IS a push shot (contrary to what is written by Jim in the description) even if, often, the shot is named something else by many players.  A push kick is, in this example, if he had pushed the ball from the near man to the middle man and shot the ball from the middle man. But in this case he pushed it from the near man and struck the ball with the same man. That, by standard designation, is a 'push shot'.

"at least as"? I doubt that. What may appear to be a shot 'as fast as', only appears to be because the ball does little travel before it's struck (like with a pin or snake shot). We're looking at a push shot here - where the ball needs to travel a considerable distance before the player can strike the ball to place it in the open hole. And this is as fast as they come. Also remember that the shot is initiated in a dead-ball position. That's alot different than shooting a ball in motion.
