Don't think Spanish Fandango is really suited to the slide, as it loses something in translation from the fingerstyle version, and you can't play/improvise with it as much either.
you sing very well!!! I love this old blues. you kick the sh....out of the slide. would love to know in what open tunning you use for the robert Johnson stuff thanks.
I found that to be pretty stale and soul less myself. It isnt because she's a girl, but i've yet to see a girl that can play a slide without it sounding out of time (take the start of come on in my kitchen fo example) or just... emotionless.
i know im going to get flamed for this comment, but honestly... she wasnt that great.
The more I hear this the better it gets!! The lyrics are Robert Johnson's, but the music is "Sitting On Top Of the World" by Armenter "Bo" Chatmon(1893-1964), also known from "The Mississippi Sheiks".
"Sitting" is probably the most coverd melody in blues ! Robin: you're great !! Go on!
For me the DoBro/Resonator-sound played slide is the most beautiful sound existing in the world. Robin proofs it without any doubt, you're a great guitarist and singer too !! Come touring in Europe, we'll love you.
Robin - wonderful playing and singing - slide is so sweet! Could do without photog. commentary tho - music speaks for itself! Good luck in reverbnation competition - Rick
Dear Mrs.O'Herin, very sweet, good to have you around.Love those R.J. songs:-)If you like take a look on my 'crossroads' version, take care & play on,bluesy greetings from germany
I've been playing slide guitar about 5 years, professionally for 4 years. Still not where I want to be,but getting better all the time--I just got accepted into the Memphis Blues Challenge!

Playing a National Bendaway. A wood body cutaway model that was discontinued. If I ever owned a genuine National resonator this would be my choice.
