  • Do you have any resources/books to point me to for information on Hellenic Wicca?

  • @stars11234 – Sorry for the delay. No, but try asking another Youtuber called Bluefirewitch. She is a neo Hellenist, not Wiccan, but she used to be Wiccan and she may be able to point you in the right direction. Personally, I looked at some Hellenic practices and incorporated those that worked and I felt were appropriate.

  • this a great guide for me thanks again !! i also worship the greek pantheon too

  • This was awesome, Hyacinth flowers and hence their scent seem to be associated with the god, Apollo, through a story that you can find in wikipedia amongst other places. Also, a place called incense mania dot com seems to have that scent in incense form. Blessed Be.

  • maybe half a year she has been. Sought of found me instead of me finding her. I have read a lot of books plus seek my own path with Hellenic /Wiccan blend. She is very kind.

  • I have an Altar for Aphrodite! Would enjoy having you as a friend to discuss with. more prayers!

  • @LevittownHS - Very cool. How long has She been your patron?

  • Bay/Laurel is sacred to Apollo (Re: Daphne) and the Orphic Hymns say to use fumigation of Manna (which could be anything from food to mushrooms, see wiki).

  • Great video! I think that lavender or laurel would be good for apollo. idk i would think something that would be associated with the sun or divination would be good. just a thought....blessed be

  • Great video! I know we've talked about this before, but it's nice to see in the comments that other people are doing daily prayers and devotions, too.

  • I would do this but I don't have the time because of school do you know one that can be used in a time span of a minute .

  • @emofelix23 - You can do it once a week or before bed. Instead of incense you can use scented oils, flower petals or water as offerings.

  • Nice to see an altar that doesn't look as if everything the person saw as cool has been dumped on it.

  • Interesting and informative video! This kind of stuff really helps beginner pagans!

  • I prefer Daily prayer at night, interesting to see how you do it.

  • this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. I love the simplicity of your alter. And the colors in this image, blue, yellow, white and green. Very pleasant video.

  • this is very helpfull, thank you.

    Blessed Be )O(

  • anyone know the flower or insense for Ishtar that is sacred to her?

  • i dont know if this is much use but i found this on my search

Cypress Sacred to Apollo. Hang in the home for protection. Burn cypress wood to lessen the

grief of death or to aid in divination. Carry as a charm at funerals to ease the mind

    and lessen grief.

  • Thanks! That is my website btw. :)

  • hahaha oh thats so funny... well there yah go then cypress dude lmao ... oh face palm hahaha

  • I love the altar cloth ,and it is just the right size for that table ...

  • I'm thinking that Diana might be my patron goddess. Does anyone have any suggestions for my patron god?

  • It's not something anyone else can know. Even if Diana is your patron goddess, Osiris may be your patron god, although they are not related gods. You see, it's not something we can suggest. You have to do research about gods or goddesses, and maybe you'll feel who is right. The problem with it is that your conscious mind may affect your choise, while it should be shown by the unconscious. That's why I suggest visualisation.

  • Merry Meet!

  • thank you for sharing this, Neo. Brilliant - really useful. Thank you.

  • Thankyou for this Neo. I make my own rose water for Aphrodite. As for Cernunos who is my patron god, I use Elderflower as its popular around my area. BB xx

  • Bay, which is a type of laurel , would be great for Apollo. It smells great as well.

And thanks for the plug on my book, lithaine.

  • I am glad pagan religions are making a combat, I always thought it was sad that these beautiful religions were stomped out.

  • Thank you neo.

I am recently new to the wiccan/pagan religions

and i have been researching as much as i can

before i really start practicing myself.

If you have anymore great advice, please mail it to me.

    Again, thank you very much

  • its funny i saw your video today, i just got a book that realy is part of what your saying, its called "a book of pagan prayer" by Ceisiwr Serith, it has a bunch of realy nice prayers, and talks about offerings, and how to make your own prayers, as well as descriptions of all the gods in the back(not all but alot) and a bunch of other stuff, just picking through it atm but highly recommended so far.

  • Lovely video, thankyou for sharing. Blessed Be.

  • I like making wands for each season it gives me something to look forward to I have a small collection now though. I have mine set up on my first shelf of my book case since I am limited on room. and have gold stars and moons for my alter cloth.

  • IMO Paganism makes more sense to me than any other of the main stream religions in the world. ODIN ftw!!

  • EVERY aspect of christianity is adapted from the pagan religions...

  • Wonderful video! I appreciate the information and quality of presentation. Blessed Be! )0(

  • Apollo incense can be represented by anything that is represented by the sun

  • both Apollo and Aphrodite are beautiful and wonderful gods

  • my patron is Isis. thanks for your video blessed be

  • I love the statues on your altar :) Great video too

  • Thanks!

  • It is exposed and it is an inside altar though... thanks

  • Hello I have a wooden meditation trinity of Quan Yin. It is a softer hand carved wood and I was wondering how to clean this type of altar statue.

  • I bet that is a beautiful statue. I am not sure how to clean it because I have never had a wooden one. Is it sealed or is the wood exposed to the elements? Does anyone out there have any suggestions on how to clean it?

  • hmm well I do woodcarving myself so I can answer this question, but it depends on what you are trying to clean, what kind of wood it is and what kind of finish has been used.

if it's unfinished and there is a stain, then you may have to sand. i would not recommend using oils on wood statues. wood is very porous and you could cause permanent damage to your alter statue. feel free to pm me if you want.

  • Thanks for the info! :) What do you carve?

  • well I make alter stuff for one. statues of gods, pentacles, wooden cups, etc. also make wands and carve handles to go on athames. On top of that I fo more mundane carvings like animal and woodspirits and such. fun hobby and I make a little extra money on the side with it.

  • Very cool. That is a good talent to have. I tried carving a long time ago and sucked at it. lol Neo + wood + carving tool = emergency room

  • lol my fingers and hands still have scars from me learning how NOT to use carving tools. still get cut every so often, trying to get some tiny detail in, blade slips, blade sinks into leg, i scream, stump toe on door running to grab a band-aid, scream again...

  • For an eclectic to build an alter, is it better to place everyone's respective doodads on the same alter or better to have different alters for different deities?

  • How many different deities?

  • Didn't think about that. Let's say you have several pantheons, say three, but they are from near by geographical areas. Now lets say you have several patrons or just several individual gods (say 3 or 4) from different pantheons. What if they have common functions? What if they have totally different functions?

  • Hmm... that is an interesting question. I am going to have to think about that. On the safe side, I would say have them on seperate altars. :)

  • Thanks for the reply. I'm curious to know if you change your mind.

  • Wonderful video! We have the same matron deity!

  • Thanks! She is awesome isn't she!

  • Looks like Aphrodite. She was born from a shell. :)

  • Thank you for this, this is very similar to how I worship my Deities.

  • very nice, i like your altar setup too.

  • Thank you!

  • Very well done Neo!

  • ive found both wiccan and goddess prayer beads on the internet so it must be something that a fair few people do in some form or another.

i am so glad that you put this video up cos its something i have been wrestling with (starting, maintaining prayers) do you have any suggestions for Cerridwen or Hecate, Cernunnos? i guess its what feels right to you isnt it - they hear you anyway lol obviously use stuff that corresponds to them.

  • What comes from your heart is the most important. I will look around to see if I can find any. If I can't and have time I could write one for you to give you an idea.

  • Oh great Video.

Blessed by the Twelve are you

  • I do have a question. I've heard the opinion that pagans gods really aren't interested in prayer or requests for help for guidance because they prefer their devotees to help themselves. I know you don't believe this, but how popular is this belief, and how valid is it? What source materials did/ do you use to learn about how pagans prayed back in ye olden days and how pagans pray now?

  • I remember reading somewhere that the ancient Romans would do either daily or weekly offerings to the gods in the form of incense. I also read and heard other Wiccans talk about it, like in the Cunningham book. You are not required to do these prayers but they help you to establish a stronger bond with your patron. Aphrodite is much more likely to respond to someone who gives her daily offerings rather than once a month. My days usually go much better when I do it. Give it a try. :)

  • Thank you very much for answering my questions. I know they were probably a bit ill formed... As for establishing a stronger connection w/ a patron... *smiles* Any patron would have to drag me in kicking and screaming, but that's another story. Again, thanks for posting this video.

  • can you use more than one patron goddess or god? so that you may be doing prayers to 3 instead of 2 deities?

thank you for posting this :-)

  • Great job! I am very interested in learning as much as I can about paganism. I totally understand your beef w/ that shamanneshadow guy, but I much prefer these videos to the ones about him and his nonsense.

  • Nicely done.

  • Great vid! Keep it up.
