  • Please continue this series. It is very informative and well presented.

  • Thanks!

  • Thanks for helping me through an FM essay i had to write!

  • @maximmixam What school are you in?

  • in Wales (UK). i'm wary of the lecturers finding this :P

  • Interesting. I thought that additive synthesis would be most valid "opposite" synthesis method to subtractive synthesis; but it looks like the FM seems to works in very much opposite way to subtractive synthesis, as well. So my Voyager OS and DX7 Mk1 complement each other well. Two good introductory synths to start learning synthesis, I think.

  • Excellent Loudon. This is extremely appreciated. I too would love it if you could take this little FM series with Operator a bit further. Thank you so very much for sharing. It is not the easiest form of synthesis to understand and mould in the beginning. This is invaluable information. Cheers

  • he sounds strangely like the guy at the start of The Oshawa Connection by Deadmau5

  • ET PHONE HOME!!!

  • Great! Will this series be continued?

  • Good, clear explanation about envelopes on FM synthesis. Thanks for posting this!
