  • WHY THE CRAP NOISE??

  • Very nice mate...

  • lol, its really D90? It looks like D90 have AF on recording... Acctualy dont have...

u Do it on MF ?>.<

  • Good job!

  • is this really took by d90?

  • und wie kommt er wieder runter?

  • @spazikrust so wie er raufgekommen ist.

  • wtf without rope?

  • Not a lot of climbing footage, most of it's after the face and on the walk up bit.

  • Is climbing still difficult with those shoes and claws? Looks dangerous though.

  • @Melmaan its the eiger north face. even getting close to it is dangerous ;)

  • this is no movies but a slice show. 1 star

  • I never get the idea of that. Now you just have to come back down again.

  • @HappyDay989

if you don't believe what I wrote, feel free to call Nikon Switzerland at +41 43 277 2700

  • OK... to all conspiracy theorists: in the photograph of Robert Bösch he is indeed not holding a D90. The photograph is an older press shot of him. This video was produced for the initial lauch of the D90. At that time there was no other DSLR on the market! All the video and still shots of the climbing are made with the D90. I know - I edited the video. And even if a camera is not predestined to be used below 0, you can still use it just keep it inside your jacket + take it out when you need it.

  • @abaku: The video was put on YT a year ago, when there were plenty of HD movie DSLR on the market. This video could have been made anytime between the release of the D90 and D300s resp. D3s. Why should anyone in their right mind climb the Eiger and use an amateuer camera to accomplish a professional's job when they've got more than enough professional equipment at their disposal. That just doesn't wash. Not at all.

  • If you stop the video @ 0:06 you can see that this Nikon camera does not have the silver shutter button, meaning it is not a D90; Also the Nikon bridge seems to be higher indicating that the camera is a Nikon FX (Full Frame) unlike a D90 which is not.

  • bullshit..the photographer use a D3..not a d90....

  • @sirioo81 It could be a d90 with a grip.. the d3's have also "D3" written on the strap .. but, you could also be right :)

  • @MathNielsen mm I'm sure! that is a D3,look at the strap ring..I have a d90 and it has a different ring, in plastic; also the camera is to big to be a d90, finally d90 isn't tropicalized, it's impossible carry it on a mountain under 0° C , with furious wing...I wish but it's impossible...

  • so com a altura ja teria me cagado todo

  • One must consider, when making a video to actually present pictures that are looking good, the first two images are fucking terrible. No joke.

  • Le gars monte quasi à la vitesse d'un bouquetin, c'est juste énorme!

  • How did you keep focus in the video? I can't stand or work with the lack of autofocus in video mode.

  • OMG, at 0:09, the photographer on the right, look at his thumb ! What happened to it ?

  • what software do you use for editing?

  • The climber should have copied Rocky when climbed to the top. He should have raised his hands and screamed "Dragov." That would have been real cool.

  • Awesome, good to know it's not afraid of snow... I just shot a vid on my D90, it survided some New Zealands up-hill rain LOL

  • holy shit, thats high up man lol

  • i didn't think my D90 could last such weather conditions. now i'm more amazed at this camera.

    great movies. excellent photos.

  • same, it says that the nikon d90 is ok in the temperature of 0-40 degrees celsius. But that must be way below 0! It doesn't make any sense to be honest. Someone please explain that to me.

  • @DiabloPlayer4life They are just covering themselves

  • @spongebens nikon's are know for naturalistic use

  • How did you convert the avi file to wmv? when I put the avi file in sony vegas I only get audio :s

  • how did you protect the cam in the snow?

  • Freakin' super!....great angle shots. Action, action, action!..

    loved it!....

  • woow

  • Great!

  • pretty good stuff. Like the mix of still and video. For me, the music is just right for the footage. Sharp. Colors are great.

  • pretty amazing!
