@just0green You wont be disappointed. Both are great handling and fun to shoot. Both loads are proven stoppers too. Just got to add a shotgun to the mix and I'm done with my arsenal...lol.
@truepyro28 With a six inch barrel the weapon can become barrel heavy, and that can affect balance and decrease precision when you have to take multiple shots. The six inch barrel might be better for some long range shooting and therefore can make a good hunting sidearm, but for personal defense usually the 4 inch would be better.
Why would you not carry it? I carry mine all the time, Get yourself a Triple K shoulder holster from Cabela's and it becomes a joy to carry, The holster has an open front and positions the gun so that the cylinder is tucked behind your arm instead of between your arm and ribs. In the summer, I wear mine under a baggy Tshirt and it's out of sight, but easy to pull if I should ever need it.
i own the 686 plus. seven shots. super sweet put 500 rounds through it. impeccable gun. very accurate. picked it up for 749.99 + tax. managable chaos thax to the rubber grips. true its a bit big and heavy as far as concealed carry(personal may not hold true for everyone) but for outdoor shooting, range and hunting purpose just fine. love the .357
1:56 into the video I became concerned you where going to demonstrate the trigger pull with this loaded revolver. I assume you knew it was loaded, but I just do not like the word "assume" in a sentence about firearms.
Thanks for showing off your new revolver! I do enjoy the S&W revolvers!
so damn beautiful

I couldn't decide which handgun was better for home defense, .45 ACP or .357 Magnum......So I bought both. Glock 21 and Smith & Wesson 686.

nice, i want the same gun but the 6 inch barrel

@truepyro28 With a 4 inch barrel you get better balance.
YouthFreedomFighters 6 months ago
@YouthFreedomFighters why's that? and the 6 inch would be better for shooting 50 yards though wouldn't it?
