Magazine is one of those hidden gems, not too many people knew about them even back in the day. Howard Devoto is a crazed ringmaster, I saw them in concert. It was amazing.

@abagail4me Why does it matter where they recorded? It's still music regardless of the location in which it was recorded.

@Misterioso epicness of saying "i was at that gig" or if its classical i suppose different music halls have different acoustics. but yeah it is the least important bit of info.

@abagail4me: I've heard that Austrailian audiences can be quite tough, which is why even arty fellows like Hunters and Collectors or agitators like Midnight Oil had to learn to deliver relentless rock energy. Maybe the locals pushed Magazine to the heights they hit on this recording.
