Agree that the hospital should be fixed first before building another church. But think this way, building them at least create new jobs and increases GDP. If white ppl wouldn't do what they do, no other group of ppl or religion would do what they do. If someone killed your family you would take out vengeance too if your heart isn't in the right place.

All of the religions want to be #1in the world.It will never happen.I live in the bible belt and I'm an Atheist.The town I live in is constantly building new churches all the time.Millions of dollars in my opinion was wasted this year alone.The newspaper has just wrote an article on how many more are scheduled to be built next year and they are so proud.It made the front page.Meanwhile our hospital is falling apart,you have to go to the next city if you need an operation.Religion needs to go!!

Agree that the hospital should be fixed first before building another church. But think this way, building them at least create new jobs and increases GDP. Plus, even if speaking from your perspective, people do have something to believe in, which gives them peace of mind and, in some cases, encourages to act in benefit of society - a goodwill created by those churches. So it's not that bad;))))

All religious beliefs were created to explain things that people didn't understand. We have scientific explanations for EVERYTHING. Yes, that includes near death experiences, the feeling of a 'religious experience', and everything else. No gods, no deities, it's just us and the rest of the universe.

The verse you're referring to has to have its translation stretched beyond all fuck in order to get it to barely metaphorically speak about some expansion. Also, that verse was paraphrased from the Bible.
And if it talks about the big bang, why did it take 1400 years of scientific discovery before non-Muslims who never read the Koran formulated it?

@DeadFishFactory So you admit that you haven't read the Holy Qur'aan and you have no idea what you're talking about. How the universe was created is written in the Qur'aan in great depth. Just take a look, read and understand.
To answer your last question, well, much of the modern day equipment to prove what's going on wasn't around back then. Just goes to prove that the Qur'aan was way ahead of its time. One of the miracles being that this book will never change - ie God's work.

@MagnificentKot I've read the Koran to a degree (I'm not going to overanalyze every passage because that's bullshit), and it says nothing that is scientifically relevant about the creation of the universe unless you stretch translations and metaphors to include it (and this is what the Biblical fucktards do as well).
How is a non-changing book a good thing? It doesn't change to incorporate new ideas or evidence. If it's wrong, it'll continue to be wrong. That isn't a virtue. That's retarded.
