I practice Arnis Sikaran, Sandatahan(armory of weaponry). My art is from the Philippines as well. They put ropes on their weapons because it is very wet over there and it keeps them from falling in the mud. So, yes...it's real as part of the original art. Also, they learned to use their tools to protect themselves when attacked and swinging them on ropes keeps them at bay. Nobody steps into a blade flying full speed.. Thanks for watching!

Dudet, you've got some really nice skills :) hmm, but not to become all slimy on my part.. I have a question: Your weapons.. they have like a rope on them.. witch makes them perfect for that move you do when slinging them around or something.. can I ask if thats from an actual martial arts or something you developed? because.. (and I dont mean to offend you with that) I saw a similar fighting style in the video game God Of War..well, its pretty neat! Please let me know :) (I practice Escrima)
