Buddy Love was the real Jerry Lewis. If you have ever known him or new people that knew him, all them ugly people he said he based Buddy Love on, were his own personalities.

Jerry Lewis was and is a great talent, but also a horrible human being, with very little regard for others.

These two men loved each other like brothers and they both had talent! one was

not better than the other.Both had class! something that is sadly lacking today.

Martin was over shadowed by Lewis... The loudest, wildest one gets the attention and the quiet one is seen as just being there and waiting for the storm to stop. But Dean was funny as a straight man can be and still maintain the position as straight man. THEY were THE absolute best at what they did and there will be none like them any time soon. Dean has been described and rightfully so as having it from his "bones", the humor, the timing, the strength to hold up his side was beautiful to see

At 5:15 thru 6:10 ... underscores what an absolute class act Jerry Lewis is... can you imagine how anyone else would have felt - how most ALL of us might have taken that wrong? You can see by his body language and gestures that he was completely candid and honest ...just "that's Dean" meaning he knows him well enough that he knows he appreciated it.

Martin hated Lewis and ended the partnership, one can easily understand why.

that's not true. Martin did quite well for himself when the partnership ended.

'Everybody Loves Somebody' took the number 1 spot away from the Beatles on the record charts. Martin had a top ten variety show that ran for quite a few years.

Martin sold out casinos as a member of the Rat Pack.

Martin was succeeding as a nightclub singer.

Martin saved Lewis by allowing the struggling comic to become part of Martin's act. Lewis was bombing everywhere before he met Martin.
