It is so sad that these heroes were treated this way. But, because they are speaking up, many of the more recent heroes are getting better treatment. We have a long way to go, but every step counts. Thank you to all of the sheepdogs.

We heard up here (I am Canadian) that alot of Viet Nam vets were spat upon by average Americans!! What kind of a home welcoming is that from your fellow citiizens?
The vets got treated by badly by government and the general populace for their bravery to go to Nam. So much for gratitude!

For me it all started once you arrived at the Repl Depot in Long Bien to process out of Country. You were treated like a new recruit at processing in to the Military. They kept you waiting in one line after another. Half the time you didn't know what was going on. No thank you, no explaining what to expect. You were brought out of the bush and back in your hometown.

When the Vietnam vets came home they were treated poorly. People calling them baby killers and what not.
