  • Street track it man !!

  • Hey, I sold a 77' 650 Yamaha in June. I bought it new in March of 1977 and ran it for 30 years. Sold it for $ 500 to a guy who re-builds bikes. Don't change a thing on your bike. It looks great the way it is

  • Beautiful.

  • if i could suggest anything for this bike id tell you to put a flat track style seat and a 2 to 2 stacked exhaust. great flat track look. these bikes are gorgeous like that. but cafe is sick too

  • thats cool, im buying one for 350 soon and plan on fixing that up, how much do you think it ended up costing you all together

  • @JSnyder49428 Into it for $1000. Did everything in my garage, including a spray bomb paint job/pin stripes. haha. Tires were the most expensive part.

  • had 1, 4 inch gash in the seat ?

  • what an exhaust is that?

  • bob it.

  • Where did you get a Mac 2-1 exhaust that is gold colored like that?

  • @armyofda12monkeys Its not gold. That is just the chrome "bluing" because of the exhaust.

  • I like the bars you used. Where did you find those mirrors?

  • Nice job man, looks great!

  • i know what he means, once i tried kickstarting and the kickstart jumped back on me and fucking hurt. but nice ride. cant wait till i am done with my 1980 650. seems like this is the most popular bike to rebuild.

  • good looking classic - nice modifications!

  • No offence... but your gonna get fucked up kicking it like that, don't lock your knee when you start it, I've seen broken legs and my own 650 kicked on me one time... That's when i learned lol

  • Thanks, I'll keep that in mind!

  • @randomnicity don´t believe the horrorstories about broken legs and so on

i kicked my xs650 and sr500 bikes for more than 20 years and nothing ever happened

but I always took care to let the foot slip off the lever when approaching the end position of the kickstarter

  • love the 2-1 exhaust!!

  • i had a 79 when i was 17 and im 26 now with a 1989 gsxr750 i love the vintage stuff look at my channel to see vids of the old beast go! dont forget the walk around vid too

  • love the cafe bars

  • go with a cafe racer style. full fairings and tail. nice bike, glad someone is keeping the old bikes alive with the rest of us

  • Amen

  • nice how does she ride??

  • Brakes are crap, but other than that its a blast to ride. The mikuni's make a huge difference over the stock carbs.

  • looks and sounds great!!! way to go

  • sweet...im in the processin of buyin a 77 of craigslist i really hope i get it now that i saw this vid! sweet man

  • I wish I still had my old blue and gold one. Was lookin for another one, but then I found an old KZ1000 instead.

  • Very sharp bike!!

  • looks and sounds great, i wish my '81 was that clean.

  • Beautiful job! I have the same bike, same year...I wish mine ran as good as yours!

  • very nice xs man

  • interested in a trade?

  • Bike looks amazing - nice job. Hard to go wrong with a $370 machine, too...!

  • nice bike! i just picked up a '79 and am going to do some similar mods. Did you have trouble fitting the mikuni carbs? I dont know about the 77 but the 79 has 34mm stock carbs i beleive. any info you have on fitting those carbs would be awesome!

  • Early '79 had points and 38mm Miks...Late '79 had CDI and 34mm Miks...
