Of course MJs achievements are greater than Kobe's. But understand that MJ was physically the equivalent of LeBron James. At his height no one was stronger, faster, and jumped higher. And with man to man defense with few career injuries past the 86 season, he was able to dominate like no other. Kobe isnt physically imposing or as strong as most players yet is better clearly than 95% of the NBA. He will never surpass MJ but respect both their places in their own eras.

Of course MJs achievements are greater than Kobe's. But understand that MJ was physically the equivalent of LeBron James. At his height no one was stronger, faster, and jumped higher. And with man to man defense with few career injuries past the 86 season, he was able to dominate like no other. Kobe isnt physically imposing or as strong as most players yet is better clearly than 95% of the NBA. He will never surpass MJ but respect both their places in their own eras.

Drexler, Richmond, Miller, Hardaway (not hype, by the way - devastating injuries can change a career in a hurry), Hill, Wilkins, etc. You named 4 guys at the top of the league, which is not indicative of the league as a whole. Of the guys you mentioned, only Wade and LeBron are good defenders, and I wouldn't say they're consistent. Also, you may remember that MJ competed exceptionally well when he came back in 2002 at 38 years old.

He did get injured, so from a career standpoint, I won't mention him.. Grant Hill, Clyde Drexler, Dominique, Magic, Bird... The 90's was better in other areas though.. The best Centers & PF's of all time played in this era. Which makes it even more amazing that MJ was able to take it to the hole the way he did.

By 27, MJ LED Chicago to a title as the LEADER. Kobe at age 29, BARELY did it. By age 30, MJ had 3 titles, 3 reg season & finals mvps, 3 steals titles, 7 scoring titles & 80 NBA records.
Kobe has 5 titles at age 30 (3 as a sidekick), 1 reg season mvp, 2 finals mvps (1 is questionable), 2 score titles (as many as Shaq ), 0 steals titles & only 16 NBA records.

retired he was replaced with CBA player Pete Myers which should have been disastrous to the
Bulls. But the Bulls only lost 2 more games, they went from 57-25 with MJ in 1993 to 55-27

@quick96 HA! u make me laugh.,.. First, MJ won a title when they got 57 wins, which was he lowest win % of any title career... They couldnt get a title w/o him.. Tell me how many wins he got his other title years!!! When he came back, they won 72 games his first full season! How's that for making your team better? That's a record that will NEVER BE BROKEN! When he left after 98, they went from 62 to 13 wins dummy... Are you seriouisly gonna say MJ was a bench warmer? What a HATER!
