@F14Lolcat There were a few graphical improvements in this such as the Slovakia maps. Is there a juddering when flying over towns in these maps? What is your graphic card? Have you messed around with the conf.ini file?
hey guys i have il2 Sturmovik 1946 and im installing v4.08 and it works fine but when i install v4.09m the game wont start i have no mods on it so im confused help would be appreciated
@Jacaranda987 install the game and patch it all the way to 4.09. then go to folder where u have 4.08 patch. there u will find these 2 files: mg_snd_sse.dll and mg_snd.dll . copy both of them and paste em to folder where u installed and patched game. click "yes to all" when u r asked to replace files. then these 2 files from 4.08 patch will replace same 2 files from 4.09 patch who make problems from some reason, and u will be able to play. this helped to me and i hope it will help you.

the finnish used blue swastikas on their planes from 1918 to 1930some (i just forgot), and no it is not a 'nazi' symbol because the symbol has been around for a couple millenium longer than the nazis. in some places in africa, it is a symbol for peace :D

You could try AAA but all my wonderful mods had to go, other than the graphics improvements in the new levels it's not really worth it. Really disappointed as I can't fly B17s anymore and most of the new planes are AI only. Why there are no new campaigns or levels I don't know

woah. all these updates make my il-2FB look ancient. that ammo magazine view in the cockpit is cool as well. and like some of you i prefer the old pre-war and early war aircraft to the modern experimental ones. i like the biplanes.
Planes in update: Avia B-534 Heinkel He 72 (possibly) Fokker D.XXI import + Finnish built types Polikarpov I-15 Macchi 200 FB Polikarpov I-16 skis and stuff SM.79 Reggiane Re.2000 Curtiss-Wright CW-21 Reggiane Re.2005 If i'm wrong its fine because its just informed guesswork for a couple of them.
Early war stuff, especially bombers, is much more needed than yet another uber late war super boosted fighter that doesnt really add anything to the overall gameplay, thats why I'm very much looking forward to the night fighter Bf110G4 with working radar!
Those people who demand "insert favourite late war super fighter here" are usually the same ones who just suck in any kind of plane and need to make up for a lack of flying skill by having the most performant plane of all
A dogfight between a Gladiator and a CR42 is seat of the pants flying, boom and zoom takes alot away from the game online, no matter how high you are someone is always above you.
@julian111993: If you're talking about a Hs129, there is a completely new model + cockpit coming with the soon to be released 4.10 patch! There also many other new exciting features to look forward to, it's going to be awesome!

And I know Denmark didn't participate during the war (not officially but we did have some volunteers helping the allies). And I just want to fly a Spitfire with danish markings getting some revenge over those Messerschmitts and Heinkels.

I had a freezing problem with my new computer for last two years so I threw away IL-2 completely. I have to try if this patch has solved the problem.
