If he had never seen the Qaran, never heard ANYONE read fro it before, and had no idea who Allah was, and still managed to recite this passage exactly as it was written, then maybe would could talk miracles. When I used the term, Magic, I simply mean that which is unexplainable by non-supernatural means, so in this sense miracle=magic. If you meant simply something wondrous, well, that's different. I am not against rules at all. You are referring to laws. Laws have to reflect the general views of the people. For instance everybody agrees with the fact that murder is immoral and therefore punishable. If a new law is to be passed, then, in a democracy the party that comes up with this law is to defend it and explain it and if it has enough support it will pass. We do base laws on morals but morals are not directly derived from religion.

I see where you're going with this and the quran does not describe a big bang theory at all. That the sun is moving and the earth is moving has been a theory in ancient times already. So the answer would be yes, people could have known this a 1000 years ago.

I will send you the link in a pm. The sun is almost stationary but it slightly moves to put it bluntly. This was known around the times of the babylonians. The big bang theory is not mentioned in the quran, I'm familiar with the verse and it's just a vague verse which you can interpretate in like 20 ways. With the knowledge you have now you can use an interpretation that fits the knowledge of today. That's something different than that the quran actually mentions it.

Hello, you are a great thinker :) and I have to congratulate you for finding answers, its a beautiful and necessary thing.
The biggest problem the world faces is people not doing things properly. You are amazing at finding information, and people should look up to you for taking time to research, and not just make things up. If however, muslim people were to behave, speak, educate and live properly according to the rules, it would make your life easier at finding information.
Just a small analogy for now, can i tell you about the rule of cutting a thiefs hands off? If i may.
Imagine a town, where someone keeps stealing savings from the workers, and he steals the important paperwork from the judge, and even the equipment from the schools. The town really struggles because of this. A thief is corrupt and really makes everyones lives hard. Now the punishment is severe and there are rules to go with it:
It has to have been taken by stealth,. It has to be something valuable. It has to have been taken from somewhere where it had been put away. The thief has to be proven, and seen by 2 or more witnesses. And most importantly, if the person was to ask for it back, and then the thief refuses.. ONLY then can the hand be cut from the wrist.
For the benefit of society, what do you think about this?
I think it's cruel. It's barbaric to cut somebody's hands off. But also you said something about finding information but I don't think religion is about finding information. Many religious people make outrageous claims and they base many things on ancient books like the bible and the quran. I think that is wrong, surely a book like the bible or the quran can be used to teach morals (although both books contain a lot of cruelties as well). But it shouldn't be used to explain "facts" about life.
hmm. Lets forget about religion completely. If i were to steal your family items from your house secretly. Everyday. And i couldnt help it, it was my compulsion, i had a disorder. I wouldnt give them back. It would hurt and impact your life significantly. i would be released from jail and steal again. Can you suggest a solution?

If he had never seen the Qaran, never heard ANYONE read fro it before, and had no idea who Allah was, and still managed to recite this passage exactly as it was written, then maybe would could talk miracles. A man who has been indocrtinated since birth with that book knowing a passage by heart is not miraculous, it's not even surprising.

When I used the term, Magic, I simply mean that which is unexplainable by non-supernatural means, so in this sense miracle=magic. If you meant simply something wondrous, well, that's different. @wendighoul: It is impossible for anyone to understand the quran (and when i say understand, i mean in depth comprehension), yet reject it. Those who understand the Qu'ran are only those who submit to Allah, including the converts.
Also, the miracle of this video is that this man is not only blind, but the language in which he recites (arabic) is foreign to him. If the blind man who learnt the script to West side story, didnt know english, then fair enough its a miracle.

I saw a video that said "MUST SEE" so I clicked on it and it sucked. Then I saw this one in the related video's and they said it was a miracle. I don't believe in miracles since god obviously does not exist. Anyway, I thought I should listen to this shit to judge this so called "miracle". With idiotic rules I mean for example "closed shops on sunday, covering hair" religious people have different beliefs from many people who don't believe but they still want everybody to listen to their rules because they think some god made these rules. I am not against rules at all. You are referring to laws. Laws have to reflect the general views of the people. For instance everybody agrees with the fact that murder is immoral and therefore punishable. If a new law is to be passed, then, in a democracy the party that comes up with this law is to defend it and explain it and if it has enough support it will pass. We do base laws on morals but morals are not directly derived from religion.

If you would study evolution and genetics a bit more you would probably be convinced. Anyway I believe in science, I believe in observation so I also believe in evolution. I will send you the link in a pm. The sun is almost stationary but it slightly moves to put it bluntly. This was known around the times of the babylonians. The big bang theory is not mentioned in the quran, I'm familiar with the verse and it's just a vague verse which you can interpretate in like 20 ways. With the knowledge you have now you can use an interpretation that fits the knowledge of today. That's something different than that the quran actually mentions it.

The biggest problem the world faces is people not doing things properly. You are amazing at finding information, and people should look up to you for taking time to research, and not just make things up. Imagine a town, where someone keeps stealing savings from the workers, and he steals the important paperwork from the judge, and even the equipment from the schools. The town really struggles because of this. A thief is corrupt and really makes everyones lives hard. Now the punishment is severe and there are rules to go with it:

It has to have been taken by stealth,. It has to be something valuable. It has to have been taken from somewhere where it had been put away. The thief has to be proven, and seen by 2 or more witnesses. And most importantly, if the person was to ask for it back, and then the thief refuses.. ONLY then can the hand be cut from the wrist.

I think it's cruel. It's barbaric to cut somebody's hands off. But also you said something about finding information but I don't think religion is about finding information. Many religious people make outrageous claims and they base many things on ancient books like the bible and the quran. I think that is wrong, surely a book like the bible or the quran can be used to teach morals (although both books contain a lot of cruelties as well). But it shouldn't be used to explain "facts" about life.
