  • geez i saw a minecraft comment about this being better. TOO MANY TRYING-TO-LOOK-GOOD SPEC. EFFECTS. Like wtf who walks that way, and if you run, you run alot faster than that. If I look around in the real world, my sight doesn't blur. failgame.

Dont rage, i just dont like the game >:(

  • I like turtles!

  • the more ram the better, 8 is prob enough, bang a ssd drive in and away u go

  • will this work for me this is what i have AMD turion(tm) X2 dual-core mobile RM-72 2.10GHz

  • 0:59

    Looks like real ...

  • 9gb, what a strange number for ram

  • @v1James1v

    3x1GB

    3x2GB

    6 slots.

  • @keldererik Ah ok

  • What's your FPS like on this game without fraps running?

  • does Arma even use that much ram...?

I have 12gb and I think Arma can only use 2047 memory.

  • It sucks that the i7 980 Extreme Edition is $999.99 i want the processor

  • @CommanderMitchell Its running smooth on high settings with my 1.6GHz Intel i7-720QM Quad-Core

And I think as far as RAM goes ARMA can only use up to 4GB. You wont totally max it out but you will be in the sweet zone. Remember on laptops YOU HAVE TO BE PLUGGED IN for max performance, do not try to run it on battery or YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.

  • I got an ASUS G73JW-XA1 laptop that runs this real smooth.

    1.6GHz Intel i7-720QM Quad-Core

    8GB DDR3 1066MHz

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M (which hasn't reached it's full potential due to it being new and the drivers not fully optimized)

Under $1500 on Amazon, next day delivery. FUCK U Alienware and all those "exclusive gaming computer websites" !!!!!

  • @VaporTrailMix I am building a Desktop PC for 650 that is just as efficient... AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz, GTX 460 1gb, 4gb ram (because nothing right now using more than four, and if it does, then u just buy a 1gb stick of ram for hella cheap when something does come out)......And I mean $650 including the tower, mother board, disk and hard drives, hell mouse and keyboard....u get ripped off when u buy a Gamin computer of any kind, just go to NewEgg and build ur own

  • @banksboy88 True you will get more muscle per dollar building your own rig plus its easier to switch out components as new ones come out. I went for a laptop because I don't want to be tied down to one location when gaming. I like that I can go game on the couch on the living room if i want to move onto the deck or bedroom no problem. More than anything else I love that I can carry it on trips. For everyone else there's the ipad for me it's my i-rig.

  • Jesus! 9 Gigs of RAM? You build that pc yourself?

  • if you still are so eager to argue- open up your system memory usage monitor during your play in arma2. Your system probably never ever will use all 9 gb unless you will play 4 or five arma2`s in the same time which is pointless for normal users. 9gb is pretty high-end for desktops, and there are NO games that use that much of it. In reality quite few games use more than 2 gb of ram.

  • @smoku46

I only put it in the name to make noobs respond to my videos.

Joking :P I use it for a self made ramdisk and for programs like After Effects and 3dsmax. DDR3 is fucking cheap, I see no reason to not put it in. Better have too much than a system slow down right?

  • @keldererik That's right. You won't ever have enough RAM if you're working on compositions in AE. or 3DS ,more is always better So this was wise purchase.

I have no idea why "hardcore" gamers think that you need more than 4gb for playing anything, 4GB is overkill for gaming anyway. lol

  • @L4ch74n 4GB is only overkill for games for as long as they're stuck to a 32bit executable. Some games have 64bit exe's, like Crysis, but the vast majority don't, so it really is a waste, for GAMES. The rest of the system will use all the extra space though, which indirectly improves game performance, as it can do it's thing while the game does it's thing. I have 8 in my machines, but I don't do much gaming, I do a lot of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator work, so lots of multi-tasking!

  • @keldererik pfft even easier, Just have 9gb don't settle for second lol less money you will have to spend on future upgrades

  • arma wont use that much of memory. First of all, arma2 is only 32 bit so you cant use anything over 4 gigs, it wont count that is

  • arma wont use that much of memory. First of all, arma2 is only 32 bit so you cant use anything over 4 gigs

  • @smoku46 not exactly true.

  • @conza410 dude, first of all saying "not exactly true" doesnt prove im wrong, second run arma2 and some ram monitor, you will see that arma2 doesnt use so much ram.

  • @smoku46 there is no limit to how much ram it can handle.

  • @conza410 you dont get it. DOOM also has no limit, but still its pointless

  • @smoku46 actually its best to have alot of ram because u can have more addons and modds and shit.

  • @conza410 better more than less lol, thats pretty stupid if you have 9 gigs and except arma2 to perform better because arma2 uses 2 gb at most, mods doesn't matter. So if w7 uses up to 2 gb if you use 64 bit version, which is useless because arma2 doesn't support 64 bits so bye bye anything over 4gb (in reality anything over 2 or 3). So thats 1gb for 32 bit w7, 2 gb for arma2 and you are set. More ram than that won't make the game run faster anymore

  • @smoku46 wtf! when did i say that having more ram makes the game faster i said that having more ram is helpful when u want to add a few mods and things like that.

  • @conza410 haha you still dont get it. Since arma2 is 32 bit application it can only use max 2gb of ram. LOL what a fail

  • @smoku46 wait a minute..... u said anything over 4gbs LOL what a fail mate.

  • @conza410 Takes some optimizing but you can get computers to utilize more than four gigs. One friend has six one runs with 8.

  • @omegashadows well my pc currently has 8GB and i am running arma 2 alright.

  • @smoku46

Correct. I thought you where talking about a computers ability to use the ram on a game.

  • @smoku46 32-bit uses from 1-4 GIGS

  • @icantfindausername13

32-bit uses 1 to 3.x so if you have 2x 2 gig it will only recognize 2 gig RAM. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • Oh no my ears!!! The game is cool but sound is terrible :(

  • @LusTERko95 Old comment I know lol. What's wrong with the sound? It's taken from real world weapons and stuff. That's what they sound like.

  • @TalesOfWar You know, never mind. After posting that comentt I played Arma II with a colleague PC(he's got soundblasters X-fi), and i must say that sound is great (sound of nature especially) . Now I have 3 objectives :1 Get new PC. 2 Get Arma II. 3 Get Battlefield 3. LoL :P

  • JUST GOT MY ALEIN WARE COMPUTER TODAY.WONT GO INTO DETAILS BUT NOW I CAN ACTUALLY PLAY THIS FUCKING GAME,WHITH NO SLOW DOWN BECAUSE OF SOME SHIT BOX COMPUTER THAT CAN NOT HANDLE IT.FUCKING AWSOME.TIME TO KILL SOME TERRIOST.AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • This graphics reminds me A LOT stalker clear sky

  • i7 920 6gb ddr3 EVGA gtx480 superclocked. moet lukken denk ik

  • Comment removed

  • @euphoritch good for you what ever someone says with caps on we dont give a fuck . .

  • @sukaballn00b so why say that then , when you know it

  • @euphoritch daM! u got me!

  • @sukaballn00b hahah thanks for the nice feedback, have a good day friend!!!

  • 5970/5870 ftw with 920 at 4ghz and 60gb Vertex 2 SSD. Anyone buying a GTX 260 for this game is a moron -a GTX 460 will give playable frame rates a GHTX 260 is a Piece of S..t.

  • @Valentine001

260 is over 2 years old now, no suprise it's a good bit slower.

  • my computer was made for 3D production. 6 cores FTW

  • I hope you guys don't mind me saying this.. but these are some bad graphics, honestly they didn't even bother to make the scopes round.

  • @RhinoRH and i bet you play CoD non stop -.- this game is the most realistic war game you'll find atm

  • can arma 2 run on ati radeon 5570, i was gonna build a PC with a gtx 260 but everybody says it cant be done, (they say it will be expensive)

  • @callofdutyguy9

Buy one with a GTX 460. it's around $200 and performs really good.

  • @keldererik GTX 260 is plenty good and i dont plan to go overkill, spending unnecessary large amounts of cash for something delivers just as good graphics

  • @callofdutyguy9

The GTX 460 is around €20 more in here (the netherlands). Its €20 more and alot faster than the GTX 260. But go ahead and by that old card if you want, I dont give a shit :)

  • @keldererik apparently you cared enough to reply to the comment, lols

  • @callofdutyguy9

to prove you are stupid lols

  • @keldererik

Waar kun je zien hoe oud een videokaart is ??

  • @anel115

Google en launch date checken :P

  • @keldererik

    Oke Thanx ,

    Nice specs trouwens .

  • @callofdutyguy9 GTX 460 is like twice as powerful as a 260

  • love it when ppl say they have 9,12,16gbs of ram..anyone ith anuff intelligence knows we wont.. be able to use all of that ram for another 5-10 years..4gbs is all u need...

  • @yourit311

Amount of ram needed doubles every 2-3 year mate. Besides theres more to it than gaming. Ever heard of ram-disk? vm-ware or any of the adobe software? guess not.

  • @keldererik Or a virtual machine...

  • @DJzooii

    vm ware is virtual :)

  • @yourit311

1981 - Bill Gates: "640K ought to be enough for anybody".

  • how do u get this game?

  • @mr0wnz5

You buy it in a shop which sell games.

  • intel core 2 duo @ 2x 2.333ghz

    nvidia 8800gts

    2gb ram DDR2

hows that? will it be good? please reply

  • is this online

  • How well will this play Arma2 if at all:

    - Intel Core i5 650 (2 cores) 3.20GHz

    - 6GB RAM DDR3

    - ATI HD5570

    Video memory : 1 GB

Reply GREATLY appreciated. I'm thinking of buying this game, but, I don't know if

    my PC'll run it adequately.

  • @hexlord21

    medium - high.

It will look great. Keep in mind that most good servers run a bunch of mods. So in order to play on there you need to have them installed. To run those mods you need to add a line to your shortcut but that is easy.

  • @keldererik thanks for the reply and tip, i'll keep the servers' mods in mind :)

  • @hexlord21 You make no mention of the resolution you will be playing at, which is a huge influence on gameplay ofc but having said that you would be far better off with a quad core because arma2 uses a lot of cpu.My Q9650 at 4gz runs arma 2 much better than my E8500 @ 4ghz did.

  • I have a 2.3 dual core intel.. with 2 gbs in ram...8800gt alpha dog series I play it fine..

  • Shit! I need to buy ArmA II! I have never seen such a beautifull shooter as this....

  • can i play arma 2 on high .?

    with..

-AMD Athlon dual core 2x 2.21ghz

    -1gb ram DDR2

    -geforce 9400 gt 512 mb.

    please fast answer..

  • @bulldogge12

no, 1gb ram is not enough. Probably low. That videocard is not powerfull enough either.

  • @bulldogge12 Good joke, bro. It will be succes if you run this game on verry low

  • 480 Nvidia

    8 Gigs 1800 OC DDR3

AMD Black edition Quad core 3.4 965

    and it rapes this game

  • @Bluedrake42 ati is better for this game.... and it doesn't use more thebn 2gbs of ram.

  • how well can a 4890 and Q6600 quad core and 6gb DDR2 ram play arma 2 with the latest patch?

  • @PcGamingRig it would run well... maybe oc your cpu thats a big help in this game.

  • How can i run this game on.

    Intel Core 860@2.80ghz

    Gigabyte p55-USB3

    4gb DDR3 Ram

    Radeon HD 5830 1gb

    Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

I will be getting this computer in a few days hopefully. So how will it run this game?

    Thanks mate :)

  • @samboguitarist

u can run it very good indeed!

the only difference between ure system and mine is that i have a hd5850 and and amd phenom II x4 black edition:P

but according to a friend of mine (dont have the system yet maybe in 2 weeks or so:P) i could max out this game if i didnt placed to much ai in the mission editor so u must be able to max it out to :)

  • @Arsjonisteman ook thanks alot man :)

  • Can a PC run this game with the following specs:

    AMD athlon 64 x2 5000

    EN8600GT Geforce

    2 gb ddr2 667 RAM

  • @PitbullNL

it could, but not on this graphics level i think:P

  • @Arsjonisteman

Well, then i need to buy a 8800GT then :P

  • @PitbullNL even on the lowest settings and very low resolution you might get a bit of lag. You might wanna just invest in an entirely new computer, instead of upgrading. :) It'll be well worth it with all the sales because of new thing like processors and video cards coming out.

  • also warfare mode in MP?

cuz arma1 have it, so im wondering if arma2 has it for multiplayer

  • @PitbullNL

    Yes, Warfare Benny Edition :)

  • @keldererik I love that one

  • A Hind D??? Colonel what is a Russian gun ship doing here???

  • Comment removed

  • @cyberzaikoo

that's not very true. If you'de like to have the field look real and see the enemy planes comming from a distance (which is always a good thing) then you'll need a pretty strong card. The game does use the CPU a lot. But an I7 is not needed. Dual core does the job but I'd still recommend a quad core. (yes yes.. the i7 is a quad but I mean the cores without hyper threading, like my Q9550)

  • @EliteGhost001 hmm ok ty for correcting me ;)

  • its not running smooth

  • @thymen121

This was version 1.00 not patched + fraps running. It runs really good with patch 1.07 :)

  • @keldererik patch 1.07? Well I have 1.06 only, must download that one! :D

  • @thymen121 this game is badly optimized, so even if your hardware is the best...you wont get the full performance, especally in multiplayer. This has to be fixed!

  • get patch 1.07 peps, get patch 1.07 all your dreams will come true

  • i7 920 FTW

  • wow,i wish i had your rig...

  • I have a question can a Single 2GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon HD 5970 Graphic card run Arma 2 or just because its Direct X 11 I can't play it I really need to know because thats one of my favorite games

  • @Noobster123720 it can run it for sure.

  • @Noobster123720 what kind of question is that man lol, of course a 5970 can run arma 2, ive been running arma 2 on my old 8600gt! low settings of course but, im bilding a new system as we speak

  • I7 is terrible for gaming.....yes it powerful...but it not optimised for gaming

  • @spudnick3490 no way!!, look at the benchmarks, the i7 920 is faster than the core 2 quad and the amd phenom

  • @SpiffyTools12

No...you arent taking into the acount of RAM or GPU...the I7 has been proved to decrease performance for SOME games

  • @spudnick3490 No..and if so please send me a link

  • @SpiffyTools12

yes......Look it up....I cant remember where it was!

  • @spudnick3490 its not true............

  • What the hell do you need 9GB of ram for? Pretty much all games are 32 bit so they can never use more than 4GB, regardless the fact that you use a 64 bit OS.

  • @scpmills For other apps. I just put core i7 and 9GB ram in title for more views.

  • Comment removed

  • @keldererik

More views with a lower end I7 920 and 9GB of ram which is rather cheap and easy to get? I don't get it.

  • @scpmills You don't want to get it because you are a rebellious teen. Hence your comment on my other video. Did I hurt the feelings of your pentium 3?

  • lol 9 gb ram hahahhahahah no way its so slow !!!!11

  • @SlyNicolai yeah that's true. And then those teens manage to crash the helis during takeoff.

  • RAM overkill. You seriously dont need that much to play Arma on the highest.

  • will i be able to play arma with 1 gb of ram and like a video card that no1 has ever heard of

  • This game was made primary as military simulator for Army,Marines etc(called VBS2) so that is why comp. specs are so high

  • lol overkill on the ram :)

  • This game needs gibs, and it'll almost reach the IRL realism

  • no, its still just a game and it shows. at core, this is the 9-years old operation flashpoint.

also, a 100% accurate war sim would be interesting, but not very fun.

  • the planes and vehicles in this game don't behave terribly realistic (pretty arcadey) and you can't simulate a human as good as a vehicle.

  • How well will this game work with my specs

    Intelcore2 duo cpu E7400

    2.80 ghz

    4 gb ram

    Nvidia GeForce GT 230

    thx

  • keldererik - what NVidia drivers were you using when you made this video?

  • 182 something. Old ones.

  • This game is unplayable to me. The only way I can play is if I'm playing with real paople.

  • Maaaaaaaan, your PC is pure overkill..

  • Wait for two years...then it´s boring. I just found a little magazine from the 80th with a PC advert in it....lol "brandnew 16mb Graphics card"

  • Looks great!

    Let's hope it's bug-free unlike ArmA 1

  • its already have a patch 1.5 and it almost fix all the bugs except some physics animation but you wont notice it..

  • dual ati radeon 5870s ftw!!!

  • FUUUUUUU

  • lol i dont have them. My pc is a load of junk, but will be getting them in my alienware aurora alx.

  • build ur own, saves u hundreds of dollars... unless its a laptop

  • Alienware sux balls...way to expansive for its power.

  • @KnorpelDelux okay, what would you recommend?

  • Screw Alienware...Build it yourself. It's not that difficult and you can use the few hundred bucks you save to buy games.

  • lol

  • @jammydodgerman

my new 3 Way Zotac GTX480 is the Way ;)

  • @jammydodgerman dual ATI Hadeon 5970s FTW!!

  • I forgot ram 2g

  • pliz help

  • CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz (1333MHz, 12MB, S775) box vidio card 8500gt it very slow and bad grapfhic maby problems in vidio card

  • am i the only one who is kinda dissapointed,i mean for a 280gtx this is petty bad ,15 - 20 fps. and i just ordered the 260 gtx soo am guessing am fucked.

  • this is version 1.00 of the game, buggy, laggy. also fraps is running.

  • @keldererik how good would my i7 920 stock

12gb ddr3 tri and a gtx 260 1.8gb do?? how many fps and how high the graphics.?

  • @deagle94

Fraps son... kills like 30 frames.

  • FPS 15-20

  • is this game on ps3?

  • @esapira100 lol

  • No only pc sadly.

  • ye it actually is and he plays it with a wii mote

  • @esapira100

    nope only for PC elitists

As a rule (on Youtube that is) most PC gameres are Assholes

  • @dudewtf740 What are you talking about? It's usually some console only player that starts the whole argument by saying something stupid.

  • @ysflightman Yes but most of the time its the PC gamers that start turning to real assholes but than again im basing a group of people off of youtube comments

  • no Bro!.. Ps3 dont have Arma, have Operation Flashpoint 2..

    Sorry my english, Im Brazilian

  • the graphic is so fucking awesome !!!

  • what are these for mission? never seen them

  • It's the editor.

  • Nice specs, but its kinda funny how i can run it the same as you with

    a Q6600 @ 2.4,

    4GB 800MHz RAM

    and an ATI HD5850 :)

  • Get a new cpu lawl , your vid card is getting bottlenecked bigtime

  • I know it's blottlenecking my gpu but i dont need a new cpu, the q6600 is a reallyt6 good overclocker, i've seen it reach almost 4ghz on air! (i know i wont get that) Im planning on liquid cooling it and ocing it as far as i can

  • Doing that will severely shorten it's lifespan though.. if i were you i would just buy an i7 920

  • @Woeboez The main factors that reduce a CPU's lifespan are Heat and the Vcore, i'll be using watercooling and monitoring my temps so they dont get too high and i'll be trying to keep the Vcore as low as possible. I only want this CPU to last for about 2 more years anyway, then i'll probably replace it.
