You didn't need to cross your eyes to see that Jerry isn't just covered in the footage on Family Guy. BUT, that's not to say they might not have shopped him out rather than use the raw footage.

If you shrink and resize so the objects match, Jerry 's crown is completely covered as well. But again, read my first reply because of how Stewie walks in during the intro.

Funny enough I discovered this movie through my grandpa and not by Family Guy. And if it weren't for him I'd never see timeless classics as A Night at The Opera, Shane or Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. I'd venture to guess that there are some kids who looked to see who was dancing with Stewie...and MacFarlane brought the timeless classics to a whole new generation. Even if most of the younger kids don't have stomach for movies like Anchors Aweigh (too much thinking, not enough gore) a few decided to look Gene Kelly up on YouTube...and therein lies the magic.

Seth MacFarlane (the producer of Family Guy) really appreciated some of the Hollywood legends and when he does things like this he takes the p*ss out of people who can't see the talent.. if its made people notice Kelly then its good isn't it. Its pretty good animation, although to the do jerry back in 1944 is pretty darn good but anyway I think people should appreciate this. If theres one thing i do dislike its the way they make dancing seem like a camp activity by using stewie which Gene hated!
