  • A sense of paranoia radiates from this piece. Sounds like being absolutely alone and cold. -> Like a baby?

  • the rats and children ran me out of town...

  • If Pink Floyd would've kept their late 60's/early 70's sound and progressed on to the 90's and 00's, you'd probably wind up with something that sounds Radiohead-esque. Both excellent bands of their time(s,) and unlike many artists today, their sound has actually evolved. Most bands today churn the same shit out every year. Pink Floyd and Radiohead sound different with every album they make (made).

  • I think Thom Yorke likes boards of canada...do you agree?

  • @playedatnoumber7 wouldnt be surprised

  • @playedatnoumber7 yeah he's a big Aphex fan and I imagine he loves a bit of BoC

  • love pink floyd! radiohead or porcupine tree are good to!. thats! just fine to know :)

  • I always hear "I am the shadow of the devil", even after finding out what the actual lyrics are...

  • Pink Floyd came before Radiohead, thus Pink Floyd can't be like Radiohead. Radiohead must be like them. Either that, or they're not related.

  • :)

  • Kid B > Kid A

  • actually it doesnt suck and it isnt suppose to be like "rave" music. i dont really think you can compare this to anything else. radiohead is AMAZING!

  • this is so weird, but why do I keep listening? what the fuck dude

  • @DizBlOwZ

Nice to see that you're open minded about other peoples opinions.

Whereas as I personally don't like Rave, I can understand and appreciate why others like it.

  • WTF? THIS SOUNDS LIKE A RETARTED VERSION OF RAVE MUSIC..THIS SHIT SUCKS

  • @DiZBlOwZ

Sir, Just leave now, and you're not welcome back.

  • @DiZBlOwZ sucessfull troll?

  • @NightXemnas Nah!! Idioteque troll.

  • @DiZBlOwZ Perhaps you suck for not giving it time to sink in, and no this is not Dubstep.

  • it sounds like a sad robot

  • @ghostspider01 OR PERHAPS A

    *puts on punglasses*

    PARANOID ANDROID

  • @Astronomy25Domine :DDDDDDDDDDD!!!

props for the screenname too; syd barrett was great.

  • @Astronomy25Domine Fucking win.

  • The start reminds me of Flim by Aphex Twin.

  • I'm wondering what this song want to tell?

    Can anyone answer me?

  • This is so eerie yet so amazing.

  • Songs with a lot of lyrics are nice but I also love songs like these. The kind of songs that are still creative and unique even without a lot of lyrics.

  • this album means so much to me.

  • I first heard Kid A being played during the credits of a Soprano's episode. I heard it one time and I had to look it up, it's a nice song.

  • @Wiseguy453

The episode of The Sopranos they played this song on was "No Show."

  • I very heavily disagree with this being the best album of the decade. Now, I am primarily a fan of metal, but I do tend to like music based on it's own merits and not the genre attached. It's not quite weird enough to be innovative in my opinion, and it's not quite well written enough to be amazing to me, in my opinion. If I go based solely on "rock albums", I'd vote "Deloused in the Camatorium" or any random album by Buckethead. That's my opinion though.

  • @Bassbait That said, I don't hate Kid A. I just don't think it's cracked up to be the album that people make it out to be. It's well written, but not enough for me to consider it as praise-worthy as other albums.

  • @Bassbait cool opinion bro

  • 5 justin bieber fans

  • This actually fucking sucks.

  • @wheniwasmike What the fuck is wrong with you?

  • @wheniwasmike Fine, do whatever you want, listen to your terrible upper class garbage music and leave us pleebians alone. Now if you mind me, I'm gonna go get some Buddy Holly shades, cheap beer and hand rolled cigarettes.

  • @wheniwasmike BITCHES BE TROLLIN'!!!

  • : 4 people don't know about real music

  • not really best album of the decade, but possibly ever.

  • @TheAtomic1234321 YOU SIR ARE A DUMP!

  • Kid A and King of Limbs are my favorite Radiohead albums :)

  • Try taking a dump to this song, its incredible...

  • @TheAtomic1234321

Open your mouth, you no-talent ass clown. I gotta take a shit.

  • @Neo90ish lmao!

  • @Neo90ish try doing it in a sensory deprevation tank, with hearing enabled of course.

  • This whole album is ecstasy in musical format, and I do not mean the drug.

  • truly the best album ever

  • ondes martenot :)

  • What a bunch of hipsters

  • @YYYxEEE lmao hipsters!

  • @YYYxEEE

They're not hipsters. Radiohead fans throw rocks at hipsters themselves.

  • @YYYxEEE radiohead is actually too popular for hipsters. lol

  • I never get tired of such a complex, yet beautiful song.... Kid A is amazing......

  • Radiohead isn't the Pink Floyd of our generation, they're the Radiohead of anyone who listens to them.

  • has thom yorke committed suicide yet?

  • @jenkinSL1 thom would never commit suicide, he's suuch a happy person. If you watch him in interviews he's always boppin around and smiling... kinda like an elf

  • @atthemodestyouth YES! EXACTLY like an elf! Thank you i've been trying to pin down what thom reminds me of for a LONG time!

  • @jenkinSL1 WTF? man LoL

  • each time i listen too this album i fall in love !! truly & deeply

  • hhee this song is aweoms

  • @icysunset01 its all so sweet

  • Is it just me or can anyone else see a koala bears face on the top of the mountain peak under the letter A...amd yes I am baked ^.^

  • @MrMontyBurnsDog kinda

  • @MrMontyBurnsDog

    a cartoon koala.

    a very grumpy koala.

or that could be the koala beating me up.

  • @MrMontyBurnsDog i can : )

  • Radiohead is the pink floyd of our generation. There very diffrent yet simular. I would disscribe the differance like this. Pink Floyd takes you to unexplored, dark, and mysterious, places, but with Floyd your not alone they travel with you, as to where radiohead takes you to the same places, but without the companionship. When I first heard Kid a I didnt know what the fuck was going on. It freaked me out, and I gave it to my friend. Then I had withdraws, and had to buy it again. Damn radiohead.

  • @uh0oo You are absolutely right.

  • @uh0oo There is a significant difference...Pink floyd sold out stadiums...better melodies...Kid a was too weird

  • The most innovative, unique and original album of 2000. Man, can't believe it's been 10 years since this was released. Crazy!

  • This album was amazing.

  • Such a beautiful song

  • EL MEJOR ALBUM DE LA DECADA

  • so i heard a magazine voted this best albumn of the decade. i think it is a very decent albumn with some original and interesting stuff on it, but not best of the decade.

  • @Simon0 it was rolling stone haha. idk man, musically i dont see any comparison in the 00's, to me, the relationship between what is heard and what is felt from this album is mindblowing. but im kinda a fan haha, so idk.

  • Comment removed

  • @Simon0 What would you consider the best album of the decade then?

  • @esltr91 err not sure. this albumn in my oipnion is quite original. but i prefer both the bends and in rainbows, and probably ok computer to this albumn.. thats just looking at radiohead repertoire. by introducing other bands there would be a lot more possibilities. anyhow thats my opinion. it i squite subjective.

  • @esltr91 eh sorry i was going too far back!!

  • @esltr91 ok two possibles. Arcade Fire funeral. Elbow asleep in the back. in my opinion both those are much better than kid A. still probably not best of the decade though but i cant think of any others offhand.

  • Thanks for these Juni. Have the cd's but my laptop has no cd player.

  • Kid A. Kid A. My favorite song from this Album.

  • Is that some sort of crazy vocoder?..allmost sounds like its in reverse.

  • man i just discovered this song its fudging awesome! the string intro at 3:08 is so amazing!

  • @Simon0 get album In Rainbows. Fuckin awesome

  • @strawdog1234567 ive got it! I agree its fudging awesome! I dont really like track ten, and track 8 is ok, but i love every other track.

    jigsaw faalllinngg, intoooo plaacee...!!

  • Interesting to see the lyrics here 'Rats and children follow me out of their homes' as Radiohead described their later Hail to the thief album as having a Brothers Grimm theme to it (The Pied Piper of Hamelin?).

  • A lot of my non-Radiohead-listening friends say that the vocals in this song creep them out. I really don't understand it. It's just weird, and beautiful, and creative, and awesome and they don't get it I guess...

  • @bfizzledizzle i like when thom sings this one whit a highest voice in the live version

  • Happy 10th anniversary Kid A!

  • whenever i listen to this song i feel something i've can never feel with anything else im not lieing i dont know what this song does to me but i can only thank radiohead for allowing me to experience this. it's just simple beautiful

  • Does anyone else get extremely depressed by this song?

  • @shadow1dx No I think it's up lifting lol...

  • @shadow1dx dunno. im always depressed so it makes no difference. haha!! nah not really im not too bad.

  • uh.. can anyone understand what he's saying?

  • @MrMarijuanasmoke420 Do you really need to

  • @heth6 well there is such thing as people who listen to the lyrics for the meaning not just because it sounds "Cool" :/

  • @MrMarijuanasmoke420 I slipped away I slipped on a little white lie We've got heads on sticks You've got ventriloquists We've got heads on sticks You've got ventriloquists Staring at the shadows at the edge of my bed Staring at the shadows at the edge of my bed Staring at the shadows at the edge of my bed Staring at the shadows at the edge of my bed Rats and children'll follow me out of town Rats and children follow me out of their homes Watch it
  • @MrMarijuanasmoke420 "I slipped away, I slipped away on a little white lie...."

"We've got heads on sticks.... You've got ventriliquists"

  • @MrMarijuanasmoke420 yeah.

    hes saying whooooiiiiiirrryaaarigu

    whoooiiiirrruugoooosissssstt,,

    Something like that..

  • I hope I do not mind, but my cat eats glass.

  • I will downrate your comment because it sums up everything I will ever love.

    whats wrong with you?

  • EasternSuburbs1.....

    Best Album of the decade?????

    What Decade???

    You are fucking crazy man.

  • this song puts you to peace with the world. Simply incredible

  • @kadablanba i might care

  • real artistic expression

  • hey, im 16, and Radiohead is my favorite band because of this album. this is the best album of the 2000's.

  • who the hell doesnt love kid a?

this album has so many great songs on it..

  • Cont.. I love Kid A, but then again, I like Scott Walker records like The Drift. Scott Walker is one of Radiohead's biggest influences and his later works are always trying to hone in on that fine line between music and esoteric noise. (Or as was mention in Scott Walker 30 Century Man, between chord and dischord) I believe that's what Radiohead were aiming for with Kid A.

  • I remember this album being bashed by the critics and fans alike when it was released. The expectations were understandably high, because Ok Computer was so magnificent. I'm reminded of the album review article Nick Hornby wrote in which he suggested "There are people who insist Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music is listenable, too."

  • @royalnash I totally agree...the only album of their's that is any good is Ok Computer, and its not just good its great. So I was really dissapointed to hear nothing else I like by them

  • rolling stone is SHIT as to music reviews.

  • @choriwilkinsons rolling stone placed the album number 1 on the 100 greatest albums of the decade

  • i own pretty much every album by Radiohead. this is one of their best albums by far.

  • best album of the decade.

  • @EasternSuburbs1

Yes it is! Or at least according to Rolling Stone mag. ;]

I absolutely love Radiohead, and just about every album they've made.

    Fantastic. :]

  • @EasternSuburbs1 best album of the history of the world dude

  • thank you for putting up this beautiful with passable sound quality
