what makes people act like animals and animals act like people? what's the big stampede for, toys? or are they trying to grab the love the toys are supposed to represent? do people ever think how tired and overworked whoever had to make all that christmas cr*p must've been? how can people be so desperate if it's not really love they're starved for? everyone knows how disappointing toys are after you have em a while. *peace*

I think maybe it's part guilt, and part misguided ego, keeping up with the Jones or we are just not "good enough". It's a twisted system, deep down we know we are slaving for the man, and have to get that reward, even if the reward is a trash product, plus guilt, we work so many hours to buy needless conveniences that our kids have to be raised by the sitter, so we buy them a bunch of crap to make up for it.

We need some conscious evolution of the mind to get out of this cycle.
