Good video.... Thanks.... I've been loading .38 Special & .44 Mag with BP..... can I also load bottleneck rifle cartridges with BP ? Such as 8 X 57 Mauser, & .300 Savage ?
what cartrige were you loading? you must have a really long throat to seat the bullet out that far too. im loading 45-70 black powder loads but have been having accuracy issues.
Very nice video. I'm about to load my first black powder cartridge (38 S&W) and I like the idea of putting a thin paper wad over the primer so no BP trickles down into the primer. Never heard that one before. Thanks again!
Hi I need help loading, I will be loading .410 black powder shells by my uncles request, they are 3" shells and the slugs weigh 7.5 grams. How mutch powder should I put in for a good strong load?
I notice that you are weighing your charges. I have always measured by volume. Is there an advantage to weighing the BP charges?

is it at all possible to load black powder in more modern rounds? for example, .308 win?

I am loading for 45-70 with 65 grs of power and a 500 gr cast bullet is there ever to much compression for a load.

Brass drop tube goes into the case to the bottom, or it rest at the neck's case ?

@tonylevin13 it goes just inside the case mouth

@xzqzq bottleneck cartridges are not very efficient for loading bp. the 32 special was designed so it could be loaded either bp or smokeless though.

I thought blackpowder loads are measured by volume. Not weight.

you are correct-they measure powder by volume for muzzle-loading purposes, but not cartridges.

I like how much info there was in the video even while keeping it short, very well condensed. thanks again for posting your lube recipe, works great.
