to everyone saying that mongooses suck, i live in cairns queensland australia, one of the most well known mountain bike locations in the world, i have a mongoose tyax elite from 2009 with marzocchi dirtjumper 3's and no other mods and it can handle every track here with no problems.... it only cost me 600 dollars for the bike and it still rides very well

Only some of Mongoose's bikes are shitty, their downhill bikes and dirt jumpers arent bad at all. For instance, the Mongoose Boot'r Romo, downhill bike, is one of the best dh bikes ive ever ridden
