  • sounds awesome. I wish i were just as good as u:)

  • great talent :)..very nice music..cheers

  • is it a schecter hellraiser c1?

  • i just can't believe You did it after just 3 years...You are unbelievable:)))

  • WOW I DIDNT KNOW LOGAN FROM X-MEN KNOWS HOW TO PLAY A BASS GUITAR....

  • nice feel :)

  • what was that lick in 1:08? PURE AWESOME!!!!!!

  • @guitarguyjames94 you uses the gt-8 dist? thanx

  • you look exactly like steven wilson while you're playing

  • that guitar is a schecter hellraiser C1 fr and I WANT IT SO BADD!!!!!!!! :3

  • I loved the vid, your a good player man. What band should I look for? Can you shred the slow stuff too, like Gilmore? You look like you're having fun and that comes through in your playing. I don't play by the way, but I'm a skilled listener.

  • nice choice with the schecter although I can see why you would change to mayones as i would assume having and unfinished neck would make a hell of a difference.

    Seriously nice playing btw :D

  • BTW for how long did you play the guitar when you did this show ?

  • Hi Kamil!

    Thanks for the nice comment!

I had been playing for around 3 years when I was in the Guitar Idol competition.

  • @BenRandallGuitar Well you got some talent and I love your Mayo guitars :) BTW playing in front of people is a hell of stress so you can't focus on playing but you will eventually have no problem doing it when you play more ;)

  • Did you just say that you've been playing for 3 years at the time of this video?

  • @BenRandallGuitar Why does that sound like bs to me.. I mean, what'd you do for three years to get that technical. There barely any mistakes, fumbling, or lack of confidence. That takes years for a player to get to that point, and I dont mean just a couple or three like you claim. I'm not saying your a bad player or anything like that, but 3 years doesn't just doesn't seem right unless all your doing was playing guitar day in and day out in studio and practice...

  • @BenRandallGuitar Looks like some people learn faster than others...

  • top class playing mate !

  • dude this is awsome

  • And Wolverine is an awesome bass player !

  • Insanity!

    If he's only 17 then it's guaranteed he'll be a legend by 27.

  • Great playing, and first time live, wow!

  • awesome I thought he kicked ass

  • Yeah, everyone being negative wishes they were this good at sixteen. Stop hatin it makes you look pathetic!

  • aaaaa my ears bleeds shit the drummer is very bad really...big contest and so poor drums there...

  • Schecter Hellraiser. Yum. haha:)

  • amazing bro

  • ...and the drummer is REALLY bad! his drumming sounds to me like a bad joke. first I thought it is some old and not very sofisticated machine... :-(

  • to think that he is just 16 years old here....u rock man...

  • yeah. lets here it for really slow predictable guitar ballady part. and the overly emphisyzed predictable fast finger pointless solo part.

yeah. and he is only 16!!!!!!

i wish i were that good at 16.

i wish i were that good now.

  • man he is definitely on a league higher than mattrach....mattrach is awesome i concur but ben here is real talent...he shreds, sweeps and pulls out cool melodies in his pocket of epicness...mattrach's shredding is awful but he is a great player but i believe ben is better,,,

  • pardon me for saying this but; Damn. Just damn.

  • praiseJesus(cough!)

  • e moj sinko ovo ti nije trebalo!!!

pa cujes li ti sebe uopste!! hehe

  • Wow, first time live ever or just the song?

  • Michael Jackson is dead

  • well done douchefag

as if it wasnt all over the news already

now shut up, or say something relevant to the video

  • jesus... calm down

  • q fome

  • I think it was a Peavey 6505 amp, but I was also using a Boss GT-8 in this video too!

  • @BenRandallGuitar hi, uses the gt-8 dist???? thanx

  • yoo are truely talented !!! amazing guitarist ! :D

  • and apparently very modest aswell

  • ya, my cat is better too, she plays guitar when she drags her butt on the carpet, so i guess she gets a lot of practice in.

  • wish i could.....wonderful

  • The technique is great. But I have to tell you something honestly. I think you should work finding your own sound, your own trademark. You're great there's no doubt about it. But your music sounds like a mix between Steve Vai, Malmsteen, Eddie VH etc . I really think you need to make your own identity, make sounds the world never heard before. Do it and the world will be yours. Cheers.

  • I think he has his own sound... it sounds similar in places to others, but it sounds like him. His sound will undoubtedly become unique in the next few years.

  • great skill!

  • awesome guitar skills

  • Great job.

  • Steve Vai combination with Erik Johnson sound :) Cool man and great achievement!

However though, I would advice you to get another drummer for your future shows. (No offence drummer ;-) !

  • mate u rock lol from NEW ZEALAND

  • i have that guitar lol what are the odds

  • a million times better than susan boyle

  • hell yea

  • haha

    YES

  • really good,

    cheers from Brazil!

  • I like it :) One of the few people on youtube who can actually play guitar!

  • Just excellent stuff dude. I hope you wn the Riff King comp too.

  • I was watching it and thinking 'Hmm this is good.. didn't expect this sort of thing from someone wearing all black with a schecter..' and then 0:50 BAM!

    Awesome mate, keep it up.

One question, what is better if I want to enter the comp in later years, a half stack or Guitar Rig 3.

    Cheers!

  • Haha, yeah a bit unexpected ;)! Thanks for the kind words!

For entering the comp, I would recommend Guitar Rig 3, as it produces great quality audio, and you don't have to worry about micing up an amp!

  • @BenRandallGuitar I voted this down because it angers me... :P

  • First time live.....You should be proud !!! Great Job!!

  • Really good stuff, keep it up.

  • your first time playing live??? omg.. that was outstanding

  • The drummer was bad :(

  • I was there, congrats on the £1000 or I think that was it...

  • how much did you practice in those three years and are you self taught?

  • amazing player already, keep working hard and you'll be great

  • great song, i heard it just when guitar idol started I was like, woah.

    congrats, keep it up

  • This is a way better first gig than what I had - I played 3 original pieces in the basement of some sleazy local pub. My gig venue is usually a strip joint XD

Great playing though Ben - an incredible piece which I think will be hugely successful amongst metal and shred fans.

    Jon

  • And I keep listening to this song! It's just so great!! And for a first time playing live you did a great job!!
