Castles and Castles II: Siege and Conquest were similar. They had a random event system much like kodp's. Pretty neat games with challenging AI, especially the second one.
I constantly LOL at the various inappropriate situations your clan can run into like a poet from a neighbouring clan being caught with one of your clanswomen and running off in the buff or how a carl from a nearby tula complains about how your advisor insulted him at a party by waving his buttox in his face. I applaud the creators' wild imagination. XD

Anyone who rembers a game that is pretty much like King of Dragon Pass, but it is in the medieval times.
You rule a castle or something like that, it is with random incounters, I think.
Sadly I can't remember the name of the game.
