The language used on cable (& even mainstream) started deteriorating greatly in the 90s. Of course, this language is merely gratuitous cussing & meanspiritedness. Great video! And faved! The historical context of all this is SO important and never mentioned. Our founding fathers weren't saints, contrary to popular belief. They themselves were aristocrats, trying to set up and preserve their status on new territory. Perhaps they thought, that they were dealing with totally ignorant people (manifest destiny and all that crap). It's really quite sad, if you ask me, because history is written by the victors, not the vanquished - and so, it continues

@OrwellsDaughter yes, Picasso was an asshole, I agree :) And yes, way overrated in terms of his artistic work as well. But he did have deeper motivations, i.e. charting new territory as it were. Another example, in terms of artists, would be the german director Werner Herzog. The man clearly had good motivations, but also megalomanic tendencies...which he later came to regret deeply. His masterpiece, if there such a thing at all, was not one of his fictional films, but rather his documentary>

She'd make up words like "gihugic" or purposely mispronounce words like hor d'oeuvres (whore d. orvs) in public, making those prone to distain (& not sensitive to humor) to turn up their noses or smile a superior air. We would nearly pee ourselves laughing.
