buy traction pads a full set only use wax if you have a wood board

once again this is up to preference, i use both on my board a full arch bar, a tail pad and then I cover the board in wax along the sides of the arch bar just to give my toes something to grip.

the boards they use are carbon fiber a foam skimboard is nonexistent but wood boards are most likely not used due to the weight making it hard to ride waves

After that they put what you are talking about on it, basicly a sheet of fiberglass (eglass or sglass), carbon, or kevlar in some cases and one of three usual types of resin epoxy, vinylester, or polyester.
