  • Anyone that's put that they dislike this song are obviously fking idiots!

  • Favourite lines:

"So if you happen to see one at the end of your street, well you please pick up your telephone and inform your local police!"

    "Dig like merry hel, sir!"

    "They can administrate the rubble.."

"To give us time to panic and Christians time to pray"

    This song is hilarious!

  • @Kicsur "Catching us with our trousers down" "A flash, then a bang, then a blast of heat, then a bloody great mushroom cloud" "The boys who hang around the Pentagon can't wait to use these toys" "You can kiss your arse goodbye"

    but it's cool

  • Perfect.

  • i always play this playing fallout 3

  • Nice one! Fallout 3 is a good game. Nice and long too. You completed it yet?

  • yes and downloaded Broken steel- worth the money.I wont spoil the ending but there is an ending so download Broken Steel beforehand.

  • I used to play Trad sessions with my friends in pubs in another life time. Everyone loved this

  • this would be the only time i called the police

  • this is the greatest song ever.

i only heard it on lp yesterday and i love it.

  • I haven't heard this song for years. I think it shows the Dubliners at their jolly best. I've been playing along with my guitar and singing. Maybe I'll play it in the pub someday. Thanks for uploading it.

  • Well a nuclear strike can be recognised

It would stand out in a crowd

There's a flash, then a bang, then a blast of heat

Then a bloody great mushroom cloud

So if you happen to see one at the end of your street

Would you please pick up the telephone

    And inform your local police

    great song

  • RONNIE DREW

    R.I.P

  • Being of Irish decent (father), I listened to these song at a young age. I agree with the comments about not understanding the lyics until later in life, just enjoying the tune. The Dubliners are vastly underrated, pure genius at work, from the boys. Makes you think eh!!!!!!!!!! This is what utube is great at....not the dumb post by idiots. Thanks for uploading this.

  • I love this song. Thank you for uploading it.

  • at the time when i was around 10 i had a cassette with different songs my sister gave to me. i only rembered the words "protect an survive" and some parts of the melody. i didnt understand the text (first language german)but to hear the song after 18 years in full length made me jump into the air and almost screaming. these memories ! ! !

  • one of the best song ever!

    dubliners kicks ass!!

  • yes, fuckin' great !!!

  • "With little muscular pressure you can kiss your arse goodbye" XD

That bloody well made my day!

  • ronnie drew is one of a kind!

  • dude, I FRKKING LOVE THIS SONG, the first 3 times I just loved the music but then I began understanding the lyrics and I now love it even more

  • whats interesting is that the song deals with such a different topic than most traditional Irish folk music. written is such a humourous way, whats best about it is that its so true!

  • It is similar to the button pusher, but I agree, quite different compared to most other songs they play

  • i love the dubliners, this song just makes me chuckle

  • whos singing this plz? sounds like Sean Cannon?

  • I think it is. That would be my theory.

  • Yes, this is definitely Sean Cannon singing it. :) Check out Sean singing "The Pool Song", "Don't Get Married" and "Dear Boss" (The Bricklayer's Song) for more of the same humor.

  • This song is hilarious, always a favourite of mine.

  • My most favourite song EVER!!!!!!

  • Its a brilliant song! He sings it very well!

  • This is a brilliant song and just like McSean412 I had this on a tape but lost it:(.. and can't find any store to buy it..:( at least there is youtube:).. If someone finds it, send us a message.

  • Hahaha! I love this song!! But unfortunately, have never been able to get it onto my iTunes. LimeWire doesn't have it - and it's on none of the CDs. I only have it on a lousy cassette. Damn it.

  • This is a very odd song for the Dubliners, but reminds me of Tom Lehrer's classic We Will All Go Together When We Go
